Not even this worked on my 05 expedition, till I tried a huge gear puller
That's gonna be some good Workers Comp

Point?

Hardly. 😎😂
Never caused me a problem they say not to now
That rotor looked good!
@user-gs5zp4mc2m looks can be deceiving. It was quite warped, causing a shake when braking.
I often wonder how many wheel bearings are ruined by that method. I’ve seen a lot of mechanics/technicians do this.
@@user-gs5zp4mc2m none
Wish I had….maybe I do! I’m going to make a recording of the force this exerts on the bearing vs a pothole at 20,30,60 mph! Look for the video
Is it difference to the front and rear brake pads?
@drummer9595 it's a very similar process but different sized nuts and bolts and of course the brake pads and rotors are different parts.
Thanks!
@@drummer9595 glad to help out. Thanks for watching!
Asi mismo el carro llega con el wheel bearing bueno y luego sale sonando y son los mismos mecanicos quienes rompen tu carro ..
Lol I feel ya ...I finally got pissed enough and ordered a rotor puller. Just arrived today.
I noticed that heat wasn't much help in removing the nuts. I apply anti-seize to the threads as soon as possible to a new vehicle so I can fix a flat by myself.
@ropeyarn had to melt the stud and what was left of the lug nut with the wheel on the car:/ definitely not a side of the road job haha
Never put anti seize on lugnuts
I think the problem is more the nuts than the tightness
@dopeylindstrom2236 that very well could be the case seeing that it's a Ford lol. But all the other lug nuts on the other wheels came off just fine 🧐
@@JustBrakesGuy capped lugs are made with alloys known to seize to steel. I make friends buy plated steel lugs if they want me to change their brakes and i see chrome caps.
We supply original used auto parts from China.Low price 🤝
🤩
Nice vid !
Thanks bro
I hope you have a new wheel bearing too
Nope!
I like to use an air hammer around the hub.
@landonlehman5497 another fine method!
Stop crying be glad you have a job and your bellies full
@@DavidSchuster-eq3jl who's crying? I'm very thankful for what I have. Not complaining just sharing what I do every day lol

You don’t have 2 bellies, belly’s is the correct word in this case

Michigan! Are you in the rust belt too?
@@JustBrakesGuy I m the Ontario, Canada rust belt ...lol...north of Toronto
@@christhonert259 bit farther north than me! Haha
Super gay
I allways do it this way
Its true that that can damage the bearing or that would not affect the bearing ?
@@CTROADSIDEASSISTANCE can't say I've ever had a problem with a bearing after a brake job
Well done

#BrakeRotorsLivesMatter
as someone from new england, the fact you got that wheel bearing off without a torch is BULLSHIT.
@@canneddragoon 🤣🤣 I got lucky. That doesn't happen often in Michigan
Вообще, по моему лучше бить не на рабочую поверхность тормозов, а в посадочное место колеса, но ладно
That's a good point if you're going to reuse the rotor. The rotor in this case was replaced so I did not feel the need to hit the rotor on the hub seat.
Slide hammers are amazing you know
They're amazing but a 3 pounder is a step up in my personal private subjective opinion😃
Hell yea
And make it so the customer now needs a new rotor...smh
@PHXPlanespotter yes that's correct. The rotor was original to the truck with 90k miles and was warped beyond recognition. The customer would have been smh-ing if I had not replaced it.
The customer obviously needed the rotor replaced anyway, otherwise he wouldn't have hammered it like that 😂
And now they probably need a new bearing after 1k miles
@@CTROADSIDEASSISTANCE for sure. Job security for days.
What happened to never seize! We don't use it no more? While now, all u need is new rotors and don't forget the pads! Good job
