During this time and before I enjoyed this band as much as any no matter the size of the gig. I was in business with Ian on bass for several years. Just like me he is mad on heavy music.
Saw this band many times in the Burns Howff and the Dial Inn in Glasgow back in the early 80's. Actually managed to get a guy from Kerrang to come up and see them and he wrote a decent review in the mag weeks later.
Total class, such great musicianship glad Alex is still singing this one, such a classic number for us guys that heard it in the eighties, they should have been huge a lot of Rush influence but much heavier, better singing and would have been bigger than Rush if things had gone differently, brilliant that they overcame the grief and still gig sometimes. Just need to find some of their recordings on CD their has to be some they a are too good not to have something recorded to a high standard. Thanks to whoever put the videos on utube just ace.
I was such a fan of Chaser and Alec Pollock years ago I bought his SG from sound control. Then I traded that in for his Chris and Andy Explorer when they got it in.
i saw these guys many times in my wasted youth. kelvingrove park with heavy pettin was a class day! and most weekends at the Burns howf in glasgow. happy drunken drug fuelled days.
SEEN CHASAR MUST BE ALL OF 30 YRS AGO IN THE VICRORIAN BAR IN GREENOCK NOW I WORK WITH BIG JIM THE DRUMMER ,WHO IM PROUD TAE CALL ME DA,,, CAUSE HES A CANTANKEROUS OL CNUT LIKE MA FATHER LOL
One of the first bands that got me into rock music playing the (now) defunct Cuinzie Nuek Inn at Kinghorn, Fife, late 70's/early 80's. Great to see the Alloa guys still crankin the metal out !!
Used to look forward to seeing "Chaser" back in the day at the Magpie. Is this no' the same riff as Y&T's "Hungry for Rock"? Disnae matter - still a stormer! Proof positive that auld men can Rock!!! Cannae believe I missed "Chasar" at Hard Rock Hell tho'. Alcoholic Alzheimer's....
One of my fav ever metal riffs. I have this on tape from The Friday Rock Show circa 1982, when they did a live set. A tasty bit of bass playing on the performance here and the drumming is as tight as. As Demonpact below says...Fuckin' awesome.
Brilliant!! Saw this band many times in the Heathery - good times!! Saw Alec play with No Dice a couple of times in recent years - in Wishaw and Alloa. Hoping to check out Chasar at the Dreadnought in Bathgate.
still cranking this old horse ... awesome ... i was there in the dial in ages ago ... you have brought it forward and made it fresh mostly though you managed to clean it up without losing the frantic thumbs up etc ...

Awesome as always....the MIGHTY Chasar....
Superb, I do prefer Alex to sing but the bass player is pretty good.
