old school...why change perfection?

I've called the "Coin" redesign before more like a gold nugget but upon another look now it aligns more to like a button-cell battery a.k.a. "a standard watch battery". Basically anything other than an actual coin, lol. To-date I've only bought 1 of the new type and won $20, and that was that. You're correct in that the old style was particularly gummy, and the newer one seemed a little bit more streamlined but a one-and-done experience I couldn't elaborate or judge much further. Of the 4 ways to win $500 I found "6 x $50 + 2 x $100" the most eye-catching because that style of win would be well over half of the scratch surface gameplay area's real estate, but how they choose these "methods" are known only to them. For an initial old vs. new challenge you did alright overall.

Why does this ticket even have a $5 win (multiplier or not)? I haven't played >10 tickets but never has the prize been lower than the ticket value.

Just the odds in % is a nice way of making the comparison but I feel like the new ones are better overall. Sure, the % for the big prizes has gone down but now you "need" <95 tickets to get a $100 winner and before you would "need" 30 more (need in quotes because it is not a guarantee). Getting a big win like the week for life is rare as it is and increasing the smaller big wins like the 100 and 500 actually create a better chance for a profit session. I guess it boils down to the market- do people just have spare $10s that they would like to gamble in turn for retiring possibly early or do people want to get more money, no matter how big the prize is, back in hopes for whatever. I guess it is hard to say for $10 tickets. For the ones that make a good salary 10 would be cheap while for others 10 might just be an occasional expensive ticket. Maybe they changed it as an experiment. Personally, I do not purchase $10 or more tickets because I do not value any gameplay as =>10 bucks (in case I don't get anything at least it was fun which I don't feel with the 10 buck tickets.)

The new font is so ugly especially when it comes to the coin symbol. Great video though explaining all the odds changes. Even though the jackpot is harder to get the chance to get more $50, $100 and $500 wins is a big plus. I'm glad you put them side by side as I was going to look for some Plus the Money at the store tomorrow but if they don't have any I might see if they have any of the old Set for Life considering there's the one top prize still out there with a low ticket population.

I cannot find the new version of this game in my area so I played 7 in a row of the old version and lost on all of them. Last month I played 3 of the old version won on 2 of them for total $125... Great session Jeff
