Damn. This video is as old as I am and I still got to see Todd on his me/we tour earlier this year. Life’s magical
Another great song from Nearly Human. Rundgren is on top of his game here people.
But we Love You, Todd! Double You Tee Eff are You talking about!?!?
Love the jazz rendition 👍
I remember this from bein at a Friends house in the Early mornin. Great song from Second Wind
I heard that Carol King wrote this song. What's the truth.
This music is Gospel!
,❤️❤️❤️❤️
If the powers that be that induct members to the Rock Hall of Fame would just watch a TR mix, he'd be a shoe-in.
Oh and 4 the let's compare this ball to that apple , fuck you.. enjoy that's the point.. or go create something, hmmm just a thought
As usual, Americans were dumfounded by the greatest musical phenomenon to Grace the continent. Go figure.. when I met Jim Hoover I had seen Todd b4 however.. God bless Jim Hoover whever he is.. I'm easy to find.. only priest in Penngeove
I've been wrong I had plans so big But the devil's in the details I left out one thing No one to love me No one to love me No one to love For the want of a nail, the world was lost For the want of a nail, the world was lost For the want of a nail, the shoe was lost For the want of a shoe, the horse was lost For the want of a horse, the rider was lost For the want of a rider, the message was lost For the want of a rider, the message was lost For the want of a message, the battle was lost For the want of a battle, the war was lost For the want of a war, the kingdom was lost (such a tiny thing) You're askin' What's all this talk about horses and war? Put yourself in the place of the man at the forge And day after day you live a life without love 'til the morning you can't take it anymore And you don't get up Multiply it a billion times Spread it all 'round the world Put the curse of loneliness on every boy and every girl Until everybody's kicking, everybody's scratching Everything seems to fail And it was all for the want of a nail Tell me what else could the answer be Don't hold back now Give me all your love Just a little more love A little tiny bit of love
عدنان ابراهيم 😅
Adeeb Twait 😂😂😂
Love this guy!
I never connected Womack and TODD, but I appreciate the insight! Thanks.
Todd you changed my life
Love this song!!!
He's still magnificent!
Glad to seed this again. I went to two shows on this tour and it was the first time I saw John Ferenzik, Jesse Gress and Prairie Prince in the band. And always great to see Kasim. Who knew they would play together for nearly 20 years later. Also happy to say that I found a full audio recording of the Irving Place gig that was most memorable. The Hawaiian influence is present because he had just moved to Hawaii in 1996. This act was to be the setting of a cheap hotel off the Hawaiian strip. There were 3 sets and a comedian act during one of the intermissions. Great concept show, and an amazing performer, musician, engineer, song writer and philosopher. The only reason why he has not won a televised music award is that he is critical of the music industry's vampire policies and is extremely unconventional. He marches to his own tune and has a dedicated fan base. Rock on Todd !
guess i missed that whole t.r. thing. what an amazing arranger. it's like motown meeting on the corner of steely dan and stevie wonder
very nice and beautiful new arrangement. .. something of an off beat tempo but still with blended perfect timing!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!!! He really is such a rare talent!!!
todd rundgren and bobby womack. loved this. thank you for uploading, joef200337
RIP Bobby Womack. I have broken more vocal chords singing you and Todd;'s' stuff than my neighbor Lee Ann Womack.; being in choir together does not give you any heart or soul.
Nothing like older Todd stuff.....
V. belated cheers (the comments side of UA-cam is strange to me) :-)
I LOVE THIS SONG AND THE WHOLE ALBUM IT COMES FROM ! THANK YOU TODD FOR BEING BORN AND INSPIRING ALL OF US FANS TO HAPPINESS AND CREATIVITY.
camp
Todd is Godd!
Adnan Ibrahim loves this song !!! hahahahaha :D
I came here because of him! He was talking about the chaus theory!😂
They sang this in the movie CAMP. I would never known about this great song if it wasn't for that movie.
Todd is awesome! I love this Bossa Nova version. I am a bossa nova singer and one thing American's misunderstand is that you don't have to sing softly...he could amp up his voice a little bit and it would give the song a bit more life. BTW...I just know he's Liv Tyler's dad...look at his face and then look at hers.
Of course he is. ;)
I love Todd, always have, but I have to admit, I saw him on this the tour for "With a Twist" and it was a little snoozy for sure. I mean, it was cool to see him in this setting, but a whole show of it...well, let's put it this way: "I Saw The Light" was one of the more rockin' songs of the show. Still, I listen to Todd all the time, still love him. Such a talent.
Awesome.
I saw the light in BOSSA NOVA rhythm! Awesome!
This video has become a habit, ...little by little...

I'm 17, my dad used to rock this song back when I was all of about 4 years old, I searched it up and found myself thoroughly disappointed with the amount of people that have clearly yet to experience this song. Also I wanna add, I primarily listen to rap nowadays (mainstream and underground) but, I can still enjoy this and other songs alike equally or even more in some cases, so have a bit of faith in today's youth. Cheers niggas!
out of sync love todd but hated this, too busy
If I could this song from Todd send out o' space ...
God I love this song... what sensitivity...marry me Todd
He's awesome.
He is doing the duple on purpose, lol He is actually on beat..going against triple meter. Genius! Nice to notice, but he is actually not off beat. If you really listen
Funny how Letterman became the show to showcase Todd. Guess it was the Shaffer link. Otherwise, Dave's got the greatest musical mind on the planet on his stage, and he acts like a doofus.
Amazing ! I will never sing a long the same.
I like how Todd hits the A, U, G notes in this song!
Love this guy!
Todd is one of the greats! OPen My Eyes, Forget all About It, Kiddie Boy, Last Ride, Hello It's Me, I Saw the Light, Couldn't I just Tell You, Parole, Utopia + one of the premire rock 'n' roll guitarists......OMG it just goes on and on and on......
I Saw the Light slow bossa nova, Todd does it all, c00L suit, mood and gr00ve... RUNGREN FOREVER
Saw Todd walking down the street once. I called his name and he looked completely surprised that I knew who he was. humble genius is the best kind of genius.
