    Great video. I love this bike. Have a 2007 GL1800 right now. But what’s up with riders talking about “wobble” at 100 approximately mph (161 kph)? Some riders say it was only the 2003 models others say it was never fixed. One channel said British police sued Honda over deaths of motorcycle police officers on the 2003 models & that Honda settled & made changes. From an article “The Honda Pan European ST1300 was banned by Merseyside police after trainee police motorcyclist PC David Shreeve was thrown from his …” (Google search “british police sue honda st1300”). Apparently a coroner said the bike was the cause. I would love to buy one but not if it’s going to throw me. lol 😀 I’m just now hearing about it this week after 15 years of thinking about this bike so I can’t blame riders who haven’t heard yet or have better info than me. Thanks again for a great video. Stay safe & if you have any info about the “wobble” on this or any models I’d love to hear your thoughts. 👍

    I had to adjust mine also, it was way too low for boots and even sneakers, it also hit the engine casing but it was no problem and very easy to just bend the foot lever out a bit and away from the casing.

    Bit of a sad story: As an 18 year old way back when I dreamed of a cb600f Hornet, specifically the f6 version as ridden in this video, longingly yearing before my biking journey begun in 2009. I spent a couple (UK) CBT certificates before managing to save up for the bike I'd always wanted. Sure as shit, for sale in Bradford, with just over 600 legitimate Scottish Doctor miles on the clock, a 2007 (f6, late register) Hornet pops up. We'll be having that, I thought and so it was, delivered a week later. Lessons came immediately after, along with a few jaunts out on the Hornet, on closed/private roads... for 700 miles... Honest officer, I was practicing my manouvers! Test day came, as did snow, it was called off. Retest time, unforseen circumstances (whatever that is). Cancelled. Again. Finally got my licence, with one minor, a fucking single scabby week after the new UK A2 licence restrictions came into place. Bought all relevant restrictors yet no insurer would touch me, so I had to sell my dream bike... Wound up with an Aprilia 660 Strada, then a bargain of an er6n from the school i did my test. Great times but the shit aint the same. Still... We had 700 great miles together. I miss that bike like a first love.

    Hello, do you still have the Celica? When you open the sunroof to the fully open position, is the sunroof level or is one side higher? Mine has this problem. And I don't see anything broken... Do you have any ideas about this? Thanks Best regards

    • @michelod.i.y.5202
      @michelod.i.y.5202 4 місяці тому

      Hi Celica still going well thanks. I'm pretty sure it could be the internal screw thread inside the sunroof mechanism sticking, usually through corrosion. In my experience difficult to repair. Sorry not to sound more positive. My solution has been to keep them well greeced and use it regularly, even through the winter months I operate the sunroof once a week

      @@michelod.i.y.5202 thanks for the reply! When it's completely open, if I force the lower side to the right position, it goes up and stays at the same height. On this side I noticed that there is more slack. and on both sides there is a little wheel that looks like aluminum and is worn out. Once upon a time it must have been driven without any lubrication. I'll try to find out something more and then I'll come here and tell you.

    • @JeanMelim
      @JeanMelim 4 місяці тому

      Hey, how's it going? You needed help, if and when it is possible for you. so I can orient myself here on the sunroof. First question: when the roof is open in a tilting position, is the part that makes it go up on the rail at the end of the rail or is it about 6 mm before the end? second question: When the roof is completely open, how high is rail to the roof? third question: When it's open, if you press the sunroof down, does the sunroof down a little or not move? Sorry for so many questions, but as I dismantled the lining and already tried different configurations, I'm running out of ideas to solve it. Best regards

    • @michelod.i.y.5202
      @michelod.i.y.5202 4 місяці тому

      @@JeanMelim apologies if I don't quite answer your questions correctly. When I first press the open button, the sunroof tilts open about 4cm. I'm not 100% sure about the point on the track your referring to but the initial movement is just the tilt. On the second press it opens up and a third press will make it open up slightly more. Then it's one press to close it fully.

    • @JeanMelim
      @JeanMelim 4 місяці тому

      @@michelod.i.y.5202 thanks. When the sunroof is raised to the tilted position, you can see part of the guide. (looking sideways at the raised sunroof) this guide is where there is a joint that lifts the glass and this same guide ends in a rounded shape. In my case the joint is 6mm around the rounded part in the tilt position. On the right side, if I press the sunroof, that joint doesn't move. On the left side it gives way and there is more than 1 cm of space left until the rounded part. When it's all open at the back, either in the first one where it stops or in the second one when we insist a little more. the same thing happens. When you push the left side, it falls and the guide touches the roof of the car. I've already tried to make several adjustments, renewing and installing the motor, advancing and delaying the cables, but I think one of the two reasons is: Either the cable has a worn “tooth” and “jumps” or the joint is broken. thank you very much
