      I am swapping the whole suspension to change wheels. I have heard of people changing hubs from later models, but a lot of people swap axles.

    The vehicle is so beautiful. I humbily recommend you Keep the car stock. Don't ruin it with an exhaust. You're better off keeping it stock and just upgrading or replacing what needs to be replaced.

    Looks like not having a hinge pivot close to the edge of mower deck and blocker has a big gap when in the up position, permitting air and grass and rock and dust flow that will be in your face as you are moving forward.

    • @wrenchbenders
      @wrenchbenders 21 день тому

      Honestly, it worked great, and we never had any issues with that. We had a small lawn care business and would block the deck around flower beds, cars, other areas we did not want to through grass or take a chance at throughing rocks.

    Cool project, and I dig the color👍 The early C4s are a little flexy, not bad but they earned the nickname "Flex Vette". So I'd address any of that first, especially if you plan to improve power. Also, when I saw the thumbnail, I really thought you'd picked up one of the Saab Sonetts that have been floating around Marketplace.

    Thank you for sharing… this is what I’ve been looking for… as I’m thinking about a Kioti DK Cab Tractor. Right now I have a John Deere 3046r Cab Tractor with a 375a backhoe…. The backhoe is a step smaller than yours…. The Backhoe itself has plenty of reach and power…. Then only thing I don’t like about mine is the SWING is erratic. I have a lot of slop in my swing, and it is pretty weak compared to the Boom, Dipper and Bucket Cylinders. I also wish my stabilizer cylinders were a bit beefier too…. So my question is… does your swing system have enough power to backfill holes? And does your backhoe swagger much each time you use your swing? When mine is stretched out to full reach… I can just hit the L/R lever… and it will sway back and forth about 10” or more, and Have to go slow again for it to calm down before I can reposition. And yes… I’m a very experienced backhoe operator… grew up using Case 580B, 580C, 580D, 580E, & 580K, 580L, 580N backhoes…. Along with John Deere 310’s and 410’s…

    • @wrenchbenders
      @wrenchbenders Місяць тому

      If you push and swing in small bites, it will absolutely fill a hole or knock the top of a pile. It is not a "backhoe" like some people think they are. For a tractor attachment I am really happy with it's capabilities.

      I thought about going that route,but it was pretty easy to use the pully system that was on the mower and still using the belt that came with it. I have more money in tires and paint than the whole rest of the build. Not counting welder gas and wire.

      They came off of a 2002 cab and chassis truck that a gentleman was parting out on FB Marketplace. They are a 8x6.5 to 8x200mm bolt pattern. I don't know where they can be bought from that look like the ones I have, however if you get 8x6.5 spacers (good quality ones) or the factory dually front spacers you can buy 19.5 wheels with a 8x6.5 bolt pattern. My brother-in-law runs 19.5s on his 2006 dodge with no special adapters (his was a dually to start with). If anyone is interested, I can make a video explaining how to do this with examples.
