Not very good mate
It's his first vid
I did this many years ago to my '07. The video doesn't really do this mod justice. The sound is much better especially when the engine warms up. One downside I did notice though, was with the low-end. I feel like I lost a tiny bit of grunt down low. Not sure if that was from reduced back pressure or what but it's nothing to be concerned about. Another mod that might be useful would be a tuner. It's nearly impossible to do a slow throttle roll-on without an abrupt jerk in power delivery. You almost always have to feather the clutch. But this is the wit the bike in general, not because of the exhaust mod.
which tuner would you recommend for a Vstar 1300?
When you adjust exhaust like this to make it more free flowing it is recommended that you do a tune up. Because the exhaust is now more free breathing and the stock tune is designed with the existence of back pressure in mind, the bike is getting more air (but no more fuel than before) than what is optimal at lower RPM's. A tune up boosts the amount of fuel it squirts to get the power back and maybe even little bit more than what stock was. Back pressure is not inherently a good thing (actually it should be avoided for best performance) but changing it makes the bikes stock adjustments go out of balance and a tune up is needed to bring that balance back in line. Even more so if you ever make the intake more free beathing too. Remember, more and faster moving air is not better unless it is also combined with more fuel to burn at correct ratio.
Did this change your gas mileage either way? Nice video, thanks for sharing.
I didn’t notice a change.
Man what sit it that love the back rest can you pass the info
Where the chunks go, you just left them in the exhaust ?
When I start the bike it blew out
@@jesseg5850 I was wondering that also. I just got an 07 Vstar 1300, curious about this out.
should have left the cameraon the ground as a camera man you need training lots of it. but bike sounds good.
It’s the first time ever doing a video and posting it
thx to share it!!!
