Ross Drybrough. Thruxton June 2024 Historic F3 1-litre Screamers Chris Moore Memorial Trophy Race 2
Historic Formula 3 "Screamers", Race 2 of Chris Moore Memorial Trophy, at Thruxton. Started pole position, after fastest lap in Race 1. Finished 2nd in that Race1 by 0.8 seconds to Andrew Hibberd.
Needed to finish in front of Andrew in his White Brabham by 0.9 seconds to win overall.
Was going well, until I lost it on the second last lap........!
Finished 3rd, but a fantastic race for these delightful little cars.
10,500 revs. What a noise!

Historic Formula 3. Race 2 at Cadwell Park (Lincolnshire) , Sunday 19th May 2024. 1-LITRE "Screamer", revving to 10,500 rpm. Grid 2nd, spin on lap 4 and recovery drive to 2nd by the end of the race. Merlyn Mk14A HF3 car from 1969. One of 5 Mk14 Merlyn cars built. Runs a tiny 998cc engine producing 120bhp, and revving to 10,500 rpm. Chassis weighs 400kg with fluids. On-board video from Silverstone International Circuit from the 14/5/2022 Historic Formula Ford Race 1, at the HSCC race meeting weekend. Car featured is a 1970 March 709 Historic FF. Driven by Ross Drybrough (Implant Dentist.) Grid was P12, and the finish result was P7, with a lot of good scrapping and overtaking throughout the race.

Historic Formula Ford HSCC Race 1 at the Brands Hatch Formula Ford Festival, October 2020. 1971 Merlyn Mk20AS. Ross Drybrough starting from 5th Grid. Very damp track, but drying. Historic Formula Ford Race 1. Cadwell Park, September 2020. HSCC. Ross Drybrough Merlyn Mk20AS Formula Ford After a crash the day before the car was rebuilt for qualifying where managed 9th. Great and close race. Managed to finish 5th.

Historic Formula Ford (Race 2) at the HSCC Silverstone Finals. Red Flag after collision just after the first corner. Started 10th and ended up 6th after a great race with Rob Smith and Matt Wrigley. Car was great, and faster than the race winners during the race!

Race 2 on a Sunny Brands Indy. Sept 21st 2019. Grid 8th, finished 8th after a safety car, and losing two places on the last lap! Flying Rob Smith was a lucky escape! Great race again, but my defending needs some work!

Brands Hatch Indy Circuit. HSCC Historic Formula Ford, Race 1. September 21st 2019. Glorious Sunshine. Race restarted after an accident and red flag. Started 11th- finished 8th. Great race and lucky there was red flag, for me. I had to start form the pit-lane before the restart as me seat-belts came undone!! Thank you Cormac and Neil Fowler- !!!!

Sunday's Race 2. Very Hot and sunny. Started 9th and a great race to finish 9th, with incidents throughout! Historic Formula Ford Racing at it's very best. Fair and close...….(Rob?- new nosecone???) Huge fun and one to remember. We all enjoyed this race on the best track in the UK !

Historic Formula Ford. Race 2. Cadwell Park. June 16th 2019. Ross Drybrough starts 11th , after a lonely and uneventful Race 1 the day before. Struggling with the technical nature of Cadwell! Ran wide on first lap and later in the race I also spun. Recovered to 12th at the end, and it was fun, but...……..I do like to make life hard for myself!

First race of 2019 season in Historic Formula Ford. Started from Grid P5. First time I have sat in the car since October! Exciting race and very tight 3rd-9th place. I finished 7th, but the car set second quickest lap. I have a quick car this year.
