very fun videos :) also binding of isaac music wowzies
Fellow Schoolhouse Rock enthusiast here, the reason why I'm Gonna Send Your Vote to College captures the aesthetic of classic SHR so well is because the art director was Tom Yohe Jr., the son of Tom Yohe Sr. whose style defined much of the series. Tom Yohe Sr. passed a few years before if I remember correctly. (He has no Wikipedia page for me to easily check which is a damn shame!) I have the 30th anniversary DVD with a bonus disc where they show a "making of" feature for the special, and apparently Tom Yohe Jr. draws just like his father did. What a great way to carry on the legacy!
"Every single time I've had to multiply by fives, I've used this song." Me, having had a dvd of these as a kid: *Nods*
As someone whos been revisiting schoolhouse rock lately i find this video super awesome ... I remember my parents having the 30th anniversary dvd and putting it on for me as a kid and they even had the "Schoolhouse Rock Rocks" cover album that theyd sometimes put on in the car. I think my fav series of schoolhouse rock is definitely multiplication rock aswell, i was rlly ovsessed with numbers as a kid and i . Still am in a sense,, like imo there isnt a single bad song [and i feel that way abt grammar rock and science rock], like my least fav is probably good eleven but i still think its a rlly good song !! And ik u ranked four-legged zoo the lowest of them and i understand why but i personally rlly love it,,.mainly cuz i find it so catchy and also cuz like i rlly love animals . Kid me probably had no idea what an ibex vicuna gnu (tbf i know them better by the name of wildebeests) kudu or a jackal was but i still have a rlly soft spot for this song . I would go even further abt my love for SHR but id go on forever . Solid tierlist methinks

Another based and freddy pilled individual.
Another thing about Great American Melting Pot the rhythm/tune is amazing. Especially the part that says "Lovely Lady Libery with her book of recipes" is a chefs kidd.
Just wanna say that agitation's terror radius increase is great for starstruck combo, slap that on a killer that can get to survivors quickly and uses basic attacks like spirit or singularity and collect salt. Also its the ultimate "dont bodyblock me or else...!" type of combo. (you probably know that by now but on the off chance you don't, well here you go ^^)
holy heck yeah, Starstruck is already crazy powerful on Spirit so being able to just balloon your terror radius after every down is such delicious overkill! Also god yeah, I tend to use forced penance to punish body blocks but having something as explosive as Starstruck is fun as hell too
Okay so after looking at the comments, mine will be the "you changed my whole perspective on freddy" type but just so you understand what shift that is for me, I used to think that freddy is not only the weakest killer but also the most boring one. I could never understand why would anyone choose freddy over any of the 37 available killers (even movie fans werent interested in him cuz its the remake freddy not the original). However after your video I feel genuine excitement to play him! Which is crazy considering you didn't say anything I didn't previously know already. I guess your passion really resonated with me and your gameplay showed me the potential of having fun while playing as him. Off topic but I wanna say that I'm a fan of your character. Have a wonderful day/night and trans pride! <3
Aaaaaaaa i’m so happy that this video made you curious to play him more! Much as I am hoping that the supposed rework in december puts some eyes on him again, I really genuinely pray they keep the chase-trapper aspect of his current design because I can only find that in a few select killers these days! thank you for the lovely comment!
Also heck yeah trans pride!
also also I am glad you like my silly blue visage lol
@@Dorkfox1998 also I hope you plan to stream one day (if you arent already), I'd love to watch you play live :D
tbh it’s become super duper tempting! I just have no clue where to start, i used to stream on twitch but idk if i wanna mess with that site again lmao
1:09:34 hold on you did not just diss "Chomp & Munch" while I'm around. There's something so emotional about Wittgenstein singing this: "I lead the way to the great unknown Never knowing what I'll find I'm searching, expanding, exploring, connecting So no one has to feel They're left behind" right as a sequence plays where he's being put into storage and abandoned. Plus, it's even more heartbreaking because this line is actually spoken in an earlier song, "Super Highway," in a much happier context regarding the advent of the internet. The dissonance of the contexts between these two songs is sort of heartbreaking. sorry I just... I just like the brave little toaster a lot
Oh its fantastic! Probably my favorite part of that whole movie, I think I was mostly just using it as an example of "somehow Mr Chips saying these things is more of a panic attack to me than Chomp & Munch" glad to see another existentialism toaster movie enjoyer though!
Some things this video made me realize that I didn't before: - Busy Prepositions highlights "with" in the chorus, which I had no idea is a preposition and not a conjunction - The Noun Song whitewashed Chubby Checker - They got DANIEL JOHNSTON on one of the cover albums??? - In order to explain 12 times tables, Schoolhouse Rock felt it was necessary to explain base twelve, a hypothetical numerical system we don't even use
13:16 bruh, the descriptions
LMAO 8 months and I never noticed this somehow
Doctor; turn off my terror Radius inhibitors or something!! Idk i dont play this debby daylight
Doctor, enable bonkers mode
Connie is cute.
As a former Superfan of HLVRAI, the Tommy clip legit turned me into that picture of soldier doing the thousand yard stare. I was NOT expecting that lol Also the Mike Myers Austin Powers intro is purely inspired
alsjakdjaf thank you i’m glad it was a hit
I think one thing in Mother Necessity that brings it down is the whole part about the cotton gin. It's treated like this great invention when it ended up just expanding slavery, and even by standards back then, it's kind of gross.
Absolutely, America rock shorts have a very nasty habit of burying the horrific stuff in service of “wow America is so cool”
This video homestly gor me into these songs recently. I had remembered the really well inown ones but now every now and then i listen to some of these songs, usually the most listenable ones and almost all of multiplication, thank you for helping me get into some admittedly awesome old 70s educational classics Also if you put your face in lucky sampsons feet woukd it give you good luck or-
alsjakdjaf whether it does or not I will gladly dive in! also thank you so much! i’m so glad this made you check out these cool old songs
@Dorkfox1998 I'm gonna be 100% real and say even though that's a joke I actually grew a crush on this random obscure ass rabbit guy and his funny way of talking about huckleberry pie from this video-
alsjakdkajfg I’m so glad I can spread the Lucky 7 Sampson brainrot
@Dorkfox1998 also it feels criminal that you didn't mention that BIZ MARKIE of all people did a song for that school house Rock cover album thing, put some respect of the clown prince of rap lol
oh my gosh I forgot about that!
People watching in 2024 Predator was changed completely
someday I should make a addendum video to all the stuff that changed
My favourite is I'm Just A Bill. It was the first time as a kid that I understood how hard it was to pass legislation and it's just so catchy. When I hear about a bill proposal, I always imagine Bill sitting on Capital Hill.
good video! i was surprised to see this extensive of a guide for freddy. ive played freddy for awhile now and love to see it when anyone makes content about him. <3
aaa thank you
1:10:06 is straight up horrific. feels like something out of Dont Hug Me Im Scared
I actually love Three Ring Government, not just for the cool and pretty melodies, but also the story of the narrator. The whole premise of a student at school better understanding a lesson by connecting it to their special interest and imagination is a very good thing to promote to kids, even neurotypical kids. It reminds me of 9-Volt's story mode level in WarioWare Gold, where he thinks math is confusing and boring until he connects it to his interest in video games and finds out he's great at it with that connection. Now, I wonder what that kid's reaction would be as he grows up, hearing the typical context of the whole "Political Circus" allegory...
yeeee i remember doing that a ton as a kid, god warioware is so good, i wanna make a video about it sometime
No Joke this video has changed my entire perspective on Freddy in DBD. I use to write him off like everyone else, but this video genuinely made me play him more often.
Aaaaaaaa oh my god this makes me so happy!!! Thank you so much for trying out funny freddy i’m so happy this video inspired you to do so
0:40 Happy Birthday Schoolhouse Rock!
Absolutely adored this video, I love the way you described every song, even the ones you ranked lower you had so much respect for and it really shines through how much this music means to you. Also loved the little intro bits to each section, especially the tmbg ones. Covered my mouth in shock when I heard she’s an angel and hide away folk family (hide away folk family is my number one favorite tmbg song, and I rarely hear or see it get talked about even in the tmbg community, and the jumpscare I got when I heard it an hour and 40 minutes in to the video shocked me 😭)
A great walk down memory lane. I had the same DVD and would watch it on long road trips!
1:10:06- I wonder if this song inspired Styx in any way? To me, this song has “Mr. Roboto” vibes.
STRONGLY DISAGREE ABOUT THE ALEXANDER GRAHAM BELL VERSE
I agree with everyone else, preamble saved my ass in middle school
Mr Morton is goated
Honestly ive never been compelled to pick up Freddy (mostly from hearing bad things) but honestly im definitely considering it now, much appreciated great video
Very recommend him, if you like active trap setting his your boy
your content falls so far in the niche of what i find enjoyable in regards to referential humor. more objectively, it's also amazingly well produced and informative. a perfect balance of knowledge and goofs, really well done! (didnt used to pay mind to add-ons before watching your vids) thank you ^u^
thank you so much! i’m glad my stuff hits the right spots, and i’m glad that I could shed some light on addons you might have neglected in the past!
"Lolly, Lolly, Lolly" and Mr. Morton are the ones that stick in my head the most and that I have a deep fondness for.
6:04 LOL
Obra Dinn music!!!
Dynamite Headdy!!!! (The Serpent section)
and Pizza Tower (Blink)
One thing I did when I mained Freddy was consistently fake TPs while in chase. Doing this enough eventually conditions survivors into not caring about tps while you're midchase, meaning if you just so happen to change your strategy to dropping chases and going for gens, you'll get tons of free hits.
ooooooo that’s rad, I gotta try that more
@@Dorkfox1998there's no movement penalty, so you might as well just throw them out while you're in chase. Surveillance Ruin could also be good on this strategy to see if your fakes are actually affecting people
I've also learned through perk experimentation that Freddy and other characters keep Batteries Included haste on TPs, since it lingers for 5 seconds. I've been using this since it makes dead zones on freddy better for chases
Other than not having Jason the way Freddy is used is the biggest loss in dbd
it’s definitely not perfect, I do love the way he works though
