Modeling and Weathering the Little River RxR in HO - a Retrospective
A retrospective on old videos and even older modeling and weathering my layout. Compilation of Steam Era trains structures and more. Classic model trains running on a 50-year-old HO scale layout that is being expanded and upgraded.
Please join us as we loosely model the prototype Little River Railroad in Townsend, Tennessee. The Little River Railroad as well as Little River Lumber Company were founded by Colonel Townsend after whom the town was named.
The prototype was located near and in what is now the Smoky mountain national Park so there is a lot of rugged terrain with hills valleys rivers bridges tunnels and a lot of fun ahead.

    I have the plywood sections cut out for the GG&N. I'm waiting for 1x4 to go on sale, before I start the bench work. Do you see any problems with using flextrack opposed to sectional track? Thank you for posting your videos!

    • @RobModelsTrains
      @RobModelsTrains 21 день тому

      I very much prefer FlexTrack over sectional track. The only time I use sectional tract is a few curve sections put together to judge the minimum radius for the FlexTrack.

    I especially like the Indian ink wash. I would like to find something a bit more grey. Do you think adding a bit of white paint would change the characteristic of the wash significantly? Thanks, Ronn

    • @RobModelsTrains
      @RobModelsTrains Рік тому

      Hello Ronn. My experience with India Ink is that it does not mix well; particularly with acrylics. They do offer different color inks or just make a grey wash. Thank you , Rob
