So very sorry for you all. My bull terrier was attacked by 2 GSDs in a park. she was leashed, they were not. The attack was 100% unprovoked. They were in such a kill frenzy their owner wouldn't go near them. My BT's dad tried to beat off the dogs with a walking stick and eventually it worked and they stopped. I had my very elderly BT with me so couldn't help as I feared him being attacked. The vet didn't know where to start. My BT had drains inserted into her deep wounds. I had to keep her on a leash. in the house, for many weeks to keep her from spinning to reach her hip wounds. (Didn't want the OCD spinning to set in) My sweet girl. who had not been dog aggressive did become big dog reactive. Who could blame her? A dog getting attacked by other dogs is bound to change the attacked dog. I had to become aware of big dogs being around on our walks. It took a long time and attention but things did get better with her and her big dog reactiveness did lessen but never disappeared. RIP dear Luna. You acted like a dog acts. The fact she could play with Olive showed Luna was not a "bad" dog. (Sorry for the long tirade but this is a subject that, as you can tell, I feel deeply about.)
