one thing I don't understand here is how do you leave someone who just kissed you like that , who looks at you like that and has a face of Ben Barnes without even giving them a chance to explain anything... Alexander in the book- ok, I get it, but this? Up until she left he didn't give her a reason to trust his mother over him, and he gave her a lot of reson to be given a chance to explain the situation.

Aahhghh, this was beautiful, and such a beautiful song. I genuinely don't understand how these characters aren't together. They are friggin soulmates, darkness and light, yin and yang. Hell, even Ben Barnes said it himself. Just because Mal is the good guy does not mean he and Alina belong together. The Darkling and Alina they defy each other, they challenge each other, it's so interesting. Yes, the Darkling is manipulative and he is violent, but he's not evil for the sake of being evil, that's what he was taught in order to survive. I mean tbh I think Zlatan is more of a bastard, letting Fjerdans in, so they can raid the docks and kidnap and kill Grisha, no wonder the Darkling wants to kill them. Throughout the decades he's only had himself for company, to make decisions, and he's become colder and crueller because well, of time. With Alina, he doesn't feel alone anymore, he feels like he could spend forever with her. That moment where she touches his hand and the light just exploded, his face! His face said it all. It's like he's saying I've finally found someone, and Alina could really be his balance. I feel like when she said to him that he didn't give her a choice, neither did she. When Baghra took her, she should've went back and gotten the truth out of the Darkling, she knows him better than bloody Baghra, he would've told her I think, and she could decide from there. She doesn't get how much the Grisha had to suffer and maybe he could've told her that so she could understand. I feel like he really wants to protect Alina as she is the only one like him, and, if they got the chance, the other side would try to kill her. I swear, there is literally so much potential with these two they're really interesting and complex characters. I hope Netflix realises because God knows I'm going to fucking lose it if they don't.

This is beautiful❤ Honestly it's my top 3 of Darklina videos I've seen. I dont think I would be as in love with Aleksander if he were played by anyone other than Ben Barnes... the changes that Ben made to Aleksander is honestly what made him redeemable in the shows, whereas in the book, he was just truly evil. Not to mention they made Alina stronger and less naive and dependent

Beautiful video, my dear, great song choice! I read also your notes, and I agree with you 100%, so here is my rant... Even 5 years back, without any doubt would Darkling get a redemption arc storyline and end up with her, because in the end THAT is what people really want (majority at least). But since it is 2021, and eveerything needs to be politically correct I have a doubt we will get what we (the audience) is asking for. Delena, Jonerys, Reylo- I honestly believe all of them happened because the audience wanted it, not because it was planned from the beginning, and therefore I am 100% aligned with it. If that is what people want- give it to them. At the end, we are the ones they are making this show for. Not to mention that Shadow and Bone is rated 16+ on Netflix. I honestly expect from people 16+ that they are well aware of what healthy/unhealthy looks like, and what is a fantasy and what not. I do not think that each and every tv show/movie needs to explain that by example. That is not freedom of creating.
