The Octagon was built by the Hugonauts, a couple of hundred years ago put with the trees of the Glen to be their side a building that can save their lives for been important to them it is has been there in the Glen for a long time, it has gone through very tough times Harsh weather and heavy rains and winds and cold and alone in the dark and wet all the time especially in the winter. It is hard to stay there and keep company as it is very rough terrain with very little resources nearby to get by with, it is almost abanoned on the top of a slopy edge of the mountain side that leaves is standing out on it,s own with nothing else around but trees hundreds of years old, and it does not resemble or be like yhe real of the whole glenside left on its own completely different from the rest of the whole mountain area. It is neglected and left alone for many week and months on end especially in these lonely dark empty times far in the future from the beginning of Irelands past and people.

I am part of a group of volunteers trying to create protection for the three trout stream and much of its water source is glen of the downs before it flows into Delgany through Greystones and on to the east coast sea.
