I own a Ferrari, yet I consider some of these rules ridicolous and fruit of fantasy. Do not drive a Ferrari in the rain? I race my Ferrari in the rain. I do not buy a Lamborghini because I do not like them and not because I should not.

You asbolutely can drive it in the rain and have a lamborghini. Half of them are just myths.

The rules exist for a reason and Ferrari is an institution. Their cars are high performance beauties that have to be respected. A Ferrari catches the eye of anyone walking down the street, the design is pure Italian perfection and the engineering is top notch for performance, control and speed. Ferrari holds great value for the brand and the car which is why they prefer selling their cars to people who understand what they’re buying and not just someone with the money because you have several other competitors like McLaren, Lamborghini and Pagani doing the same thing. There are tons of competitors, but Ferrari is an emotion. It’s like art just like how you CANNOT put ketchup in a Pasta and you can’t draw something on a work of art. It’s ruining something that is perfection and if you’ve had any of these cars or driven them you know. It’s just pure class. Ferrari owners never sell their Ferraris which is why sometimes the price appreciates because one would only sell it if they have to. If I loved something I’d want to see it in right the hands, just like a puppy getting adopted needs a good home. Ferrari is religion. That’s why the moment you buy one you’re part of the Ferrari club and are invited to events like in Mumbai they have a party every year and a rally. It’s great for networking and it’s always industrialists and old money. I was fortunate to go to one of these and it’s a cult of rich guys. I want to be a part of the prestige someday and Ferrari knows its clientele. It’s not people who can’t appreciate it, and Ferrari knows which is why the background check. Also you can’t modify it unless you’re a racer for your own safety and because the car is high maintenance. One wrong move could make you roll in flames or die. Ferrari clientele is rich people so very often they have to save owners from themselves. Try speeding in the rain and you’ll die if you can’t control it. Not everyone can drive a Ferrari it requires skill to appreciate what this car can do. Plus the rules you’ve mentioned, some of them are non-essential. You don’t have to park your car in the way mentioned but tbh I would to flex my Ferrari. I’d like to keep my Ferrari safe and maintaining her requires dedication. Plus you can buy just one Ferrari, owning more than one isn’t necessary because you can pay a premium if you want to limited editions like La Ferraris. But buying an entry level one is good enough. Plus the interview isn’t an interview per se but a regular sales process. Knowing which Ferrari is for you is essential. You may want X model but if you’re not a racer or someone who just drives it you’re better off getting another model. Most people understand this who genuinely want to buy the car. It’s a getting to know you process to see if ferrari is even for you and whether you can afford to maintain the car. More often than not some people can’t and it’s ok. Sometimes rich owners get fed up of maintenance and do actually end up selling their Ferraris because it is a genuine headache. It requires high performance fuel, it requires routine oiling, checkups and a ton of stuff. So Ferrari reps always brief you on the challenge of owning these cars first up. The actual cost of owning a Ferrari will cost you millions in your lifetime. The insurance premiums can give you a heart attack. The only impractical rule is not being able to buy a Lambo. I appreciate Lamborghinis because they are so different in their aerodynamics and design philosophy but I’ve met Ferrari enthusiasts and they’re staunch fans of the brand. I remember the Ferrari vs Lamborghini movie where Lamborghini says “you drive a Lamborghini when you are somebody”. As a kid I was fanboying over Lambo but now I’ve realised you will only ever drive a Ferrari if you are somebody and Ferrari makes sure of that. That’s what continues to make Ferrari an aspirational automobile.

The first rule is not correct. I daily drive my 812GTS or my GTC4Lusso and park in any space, even between two cars. Rule 2 is false. You can see me driving one of my FF's many years ago in snow in NW Ohio. The secret is having SottoZero snow/ice tires. I drive the Lusso even in the winter every day. I have over 250,000 miles in my Ferraris since 2010 and drove them all every day rain or shine. If you want to badmouth a brand, buy a Lambo. I would avoid non Ferrari maintenance while under warranty.
