The Circle Cinema is a non-profit organization, the only indie art-house movie theatre in Tulsa. In addition to great movies 7 days a week, we show free films to school groups, cine-clubs, and other groups. Our mission is to foster community consciousness through film. As well as to bring films to Tulsa you wouldn't get to see otherwise!

All Souls Church Choir performs "Hallelujah" at Circle Cinema

Circle Cinema was proud to welcome the All Souls Unitarian Church Choir, under the direction of Rick Fortner, for a special opening screening of the film "Hallelujah: Leonard Cohen, A Journey, A Song" on Sunday August 7, 2022. The choir performed a beautiful rendition of "Hallelujah" live in-theater before the film, with the audience joining in for the third verse.

So glad to see these films about Leon's life, like the rest of you, I've enjoyed his music and presence since that first album. There is something so moving about his music 🎶; some have called it "soul"! Indeed. I noticed that Leon was performing in my neighborhood, at the great jazz club "Yoshi's" in Oakland CA. So cool, and a surprise, unfortunately I didn't have the money for it. I will always regret it. But I just updated my Leon Playlist! Have you heard "Guitar Blues"? Its really great. Its like new records just come out! Thank you beloved Leon for all your gifts of music, and to everyone keeping his memory alive. This planet is richer for giving birth to "Russell Bridges", better known as Hank Wilson, I mean Leon Russell!

Michael Greyeyes supports the trans agenda which means he doesn't support safeguarding women and children from predatory males who self-ID as women. His position on this comes from a place of privilege. He knows there's little chance his privileged white wife and daughters will ever be in a shelter or prison with these predators he loves so much. If he GAF about MMIWG he'd want accurate stats on male on female violence but no. Apparently he's okay with "TW" crimes being reported as women's crimes. Leon was "born in a crossfire hurricane" that was probably why his body was partially paralyzed as a baby.
I had a chance to go to Leon's 65th birthday party in Nashville but i was sick and couldn't go.I saw Leon in Nashville at speedway in 70s. Leon drank 8 beers while he was performing.
