They are the ones who pick their lunch from the options available and that is because if they pick it they are more likely to eat it. But keep in mind they only have 30 mins to eat and sometimes they talk too much etc and don't finish. Other times because they get free lunch at school they eat some of what I sent and some of the school lunch. But most importantly kids tend to eat in cycles and I don't force them to finish food if they say they are full and neither does their school. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I let them pick so some weeks they pick the same lunch over and over and some weeks they mix it up. I let them pick because while at school I want them to have something they will definitely eat. If they picked it they're more likely to eat it 😊

Yes! I feel like they definitely need more time. More often than not if they didn't finish their food it's not because they got full but they ran out of time.

We use the bentgo lunch containers and their lunch bags that everything fits nicely in are from target. The brand is Fulton Bag Co. They fit the bentgo boxes perfectly with room for extra stuff.

I pack a lunch for the boys and my husband. It saves so much. And even though I don't pack my lunch I often eat the same foods I pack for them. Just larger portions of course. Hope this helps motivate you!

I've tried veggies at lunch. It's just a waste as they don't like raw veggies or cold cooked ones. We have plenty of veggies with our dinners tho 😊

The smaller portion actually holds quite a lot of fruit. And it allows for the chips and pretzels to not be totally crushed so there isn't all that much in that section. But also everyone's preferences are different and while at school I would rather them have food they'll eat rather than them go hungry. Their teachers love their lunches. 😊

The food stays warm because just like with cold things their lunch bags insulate it and keep it warm. It won't be hot but my boys don't seem to mind. When I give them something that needs to stay hot I will use their thermos containers. But most of the time warm is good enough for them 😊

It's a nut free peanut butter substitute. I buy it at Walmart but amazon has it as well. Our schools are nut free here and specifically there's a child with a nut allergy in my older son's class. So I'm always super careful about what I pack for them 😊
