I probably wouldn't have been able to eat it. Although since childhood I have eaten dried and dried fish, which also smells rotten when cooked. More Natto beans, sauerkraut, cheeses with mold, etc. It's generally fine.

There are many, many things wrong here. 1 I bet that was the cheapest you find, best cans of sungstromi are swollen 2 You open them under water / wash that fish a little in the process 3 You put that fish on some crispy bread, with some butter, boiled potatoes and onion, or other recipe That fish have a really good taste, very, very fine. There is cheese that also smells bad but have a very good taste, isn't it?
