Stovetop potpourri is a great gift to give around the holidays. The house will smell heavenly. Freeze dry time: 27 hours. We used our harvest right freeze dryer. We used our electric slicer so our oranges would freeze dry evenly. I used 7-8 orange slices per bag. We started our Journey in Stowe, Vermont. We drove to wolfeboro, New Hampshire and surrounding areas. We took a Lake tour on Lake Winnie. We stayed a few days at the Inn at Shelburne farms. (Vanderbilt Mansion) Toured the Market gardens and the Fairy-tale barns. We had afternoon tea each day and a lovely dinner in the formal dining room.

I grew up in New York and my parents would vacation in Lake George. The last time I was there , I was 11 years old. I feel so much love for NY. We took three boat cruises and the Minne HAHA is quite the icon of Lake George. She’s a wonderful memory of mine. I was happy to show my husband a place that is so dear to me.

We spent the day exploring the small town of Kingston Springs. We visited the Welcome center. Kingston Springs Downtown. The Land, which does events and workshops. The Wonder gift shop and garden. The Yorkshire Deli was a delight! Definitely worth the stop.

My Husband retired from United Airlines and the tradition is to have a retirement water salute on his last flight. Rob’s last commercial flight left Washington DC. Dulles to LAX. We had 6 family members and friends who joined me onboard. The water salute was at sunset and my husband flew off into the sunset. We are thankful to the gentleman working in the tower who captured these photos.
