Historically women mostly safed their ass in bunkers and didn't fought on the frontline. So this woke BS is trying to change historical facts to set women in a light which they don't deserve.

This is just my opinion, but all DICE and EA had to say in response to BFV was something to the effect of "We don't want to focus on historical accuracy, we want to experiment." At least then *some* fans would've given it a chance. But instead, DICE and EA had to talk down to it's player base and the game undersold.

Its like Dice said "we need to address historical social injustices" and include women for the sake of including more women and making a campaign mission about racism. We dont want that, we want a full bodied, historically accurate shooter. Just learn from previous successful games, stop trying to woke everything up

The issue wasn’t that the trailer had a woman in it. The issue was that the trailer had a disabled British woman with a steampunk prosthetic arm in an American military unit next to a dude with a katana. Then, when players understandably criticized this, DICE came out and called them all sexist pigs and told them not to buy the game… so they didn’t. As you pointed out, DICE has always prided itself on having a more historically accurate game environment. However, they tried to use the rare presence of women in obscure appearances in WW2 to say that their trailer had nothing wrong with it and then decry any dissenters as evil sexists.

The sad thing is, unlike 2042 BFV had the ground work for something great, it still felt like battlefield to some extent but there was so many problems it just fell through the cracks.

BF1 was really beautiful and fun.

One if not greatest games of all time, l think personally if Rareware, aren’t interested in this IP l would love it to be sold to Playtonic games with Banjo-Kazooie ! Kind of surprised other indie studies or mainline publishers have not to this day still not made a game influenced by Conker !

all told, this game wasn't so much of a failure as it was just mid. Oversaturation of market, end of system life cycle, genre burnout. Wrong place, wrong time. Would have done better if released earlier. A LOT of a game's success relies on its release window and the conditions around it. Launch titles do better than EOL titles. Holiday and Summer titles sell more than start of year and midyear titles. Titles that are "The First" or "The Second" do better than most copycats which cause oversaturation and burnout.

On an unrelated note, that test demo footage of early Conker running around is so cute 🥺❤️. The animations (despite some hiccups) and graphics is surprisingly sophisticated for such an early scrapped build

Per the developer commentary Conker doesn’t swear or steal. Not a tremendously significant detail, but a fun one.

Youre missing the plot entirely. hardware stopped being the primary limiting factor on games years ago, better games were made on worse hardware. The problem is that optimization and good coding practice as a whole has gone out the fucking window because with more powerful hardware, why bother optimizing when we could just let the system process our slop? "Blame old gen.." is an easy scapegoat for crappy code when the truth is that weve gotten more and more powerful machines but the software isnt making nearly as efficient use of it as developers did over a decade ago. Hell, look at some of the games on original xboxes, playstation 1 and 2 games, even old handheld cartridges were squeeking out everything the could from gameboys using up every bit of memory. Its lazy, incompetence, or both. Either way. Dropping Series S isnt gonna change ANYTHING. Weve been doing this song and dance every release since the xbox 360 and nothing has changed since then.

I only pre-order games I know for a fact I'll like. Usually running in series I know I enjoy. Even then the preorder bonus has to be worth it or I'd rather get it day 1/later.

the premise of the video was great and what you had to say could have been a great video that YT could have pushed to a lot of people but the swearing was a bit to much - in between the Fu's I heard a lot of efforts and knowledge that went into it... sorry to see that it won't be pushed that far .
