Thanks for sharing your testimony and for exposing darkness. These experiences will certainly make you more compassionate and understanding of other persons' situations. This will also propel you more into intercessory prayers and give you a sober ministry because the Lord knows how to turn our bad into good. Praise God you are sharing. So important. I don’t know how this came to my feed but I believe it was Holy Spirit! I recommend watching Mark Herman ministry also .. very encouraging… he’s been through a very deep journey with the Lord too. May God keep his hand upon you, we are from UK on the other side of USA 15 years now not too far away from Canada’s in Seattle WA. I have had my family with us serving God but felt the whole culture shock and family friend disconnect. You are brave and courageous, you came under a great attack at a young age . I worship often with African sister @ church, in our prayer meetings I encourage our use of gifts of spirit in tongues , prophecy but many happy to just go to church .. you are a fire brander for Jesus and going through the fire can sometimes feel like being out in the cold. Once I asked the Lord to take my life if he was real as I did not want to be here anymore ( I was 27 and a single mum , new believer) . I believed if I took my life I would not go to heaven, so I asked God to do it . I sat on my bed crying ( after I had been in house on my own a week with no electric as my meter was out of electric and my daughter was with her dad for summer , I had not sat end of year exams in first year of university) I was asking him to take me, as I did this a warm bright light sort of cracked open on my head like an egg and touched my head and flowed down my body. I could not open my eyes and felt so much love in that moment. When the light lifted I realised I was not crying and I felt different. Then after that things began to feel different I had a deep sense of peace wonder of God. Everything was not fixed but I had a deeper connection through. That was 30 years ago. Many years later … I spoke to the Lord about that .. and the Holy Spirit flooded that my mind with the thought .. ‘That day you asked me to take your life and I took it’ I believe God has a great purpose for your life and I thank God for preserving your life and keeping you safe ( with the help of friends and community) for a time such as this. Your testimony will bring peace and joy and freedom to many. Have a blessed night … and yes weeping may endure for a night but JOY WILL COME IN THE MORNING … PRAISE GOD!

The scripture Isaiah 40: 31 was what I got from fasting and prayer this week. While I was exercising my faith....and I was so happy this scripture spoke to me bc I honestly thought God had forgotten about me in this season. So thank you for the topic, bro. ( confirmation).... 🙌
