She has ice magic and can insta kill any operator that got hit with her Black Ice (she casts it to a random tile). She can also freeze your operators with her basic attack and create an explosion of ice around her. She is a skill check for early game players.

Man you should've seen the PV 1-5 so you know how they've used the OST for the PV And yeah the weakest point of BA OSTs is they must be repeatable and have short duration, well the strong point is we got a lot of songs and eventually a lot of variations. BA is a Visual Novel like story and mostly not voiced, so they use the BGMs to set up the mood for the scenes. The BGM is indeed for reusable purposes but imagine having 100+ BGM for every situation in your story, it's an amazing tool to have It's mostly 2D CG when the story takes place tho, but you must not underestimate BA chibi animation, it goes hard man some of my recommendations if you ever react again in the future: 96. OperationD 145. Hinagesi 155. Responsibility 165. Up to 21°C bonus that you must listen back to back 176. Illuminated Night -> 177. Illuminated Night (Hard Arrange) Many hard arrange seem repetitive but some does go beyond just "remixing" for example like Interface (hard) that you experience

I think one missing piece that nobody tells you is, BA story play like a VN. So you are right about setting mood, some of the ost exist to represent some mood while the dialogue is playing. Also the track can switch out through out the story segment depending on mood.

Mindswitches basically are when a Nikke is under incredible amount of stress or encounter something that they just cant handle, and their mind just collapses in on itself as a coping mechanism and its something that permanently changes a Nikke

Fun Facts: 1. Gavial Alt. (All Hail Savior) - She is originally a four star medic in game that can be rough with her patients that even Blaze (one of the top of the top operators) is scared when they hear that Gavial is in the medic team during missions. As for the line "Till we crystalize / Sacrifice / Let me save just one more life", all infected people have numbered lifespans and the more they use their arts / special abilities, the more it burns their life. 2. Nearl [Margaret] (Radiant) - A knight who wanted to protect or at least give the infected a better life in Kazimierz (they all live in the slums and eating scraps). She became a target for the higher / more powerful people due to her popularity and ideals (she also won the tournament without any backing) so she left. This alt. Nearl is the time she comes back very epic, fighting her uncle, the feared Blood Knight, etc. She became a hero in the eyes of the common folk (mostly the infected but also the normal ones) after winning once again in this battle royal tournament. 3. W / Wiš'adel (Arsonist & Renegade) - This is another alt form so this is her second song. Her writing sucks and she struggles reading because she was raised as a mercenary from really really young. She really lived in a survival of the fittest. She is a very grey character. She was an enemy, then she changes sides to the main character, then we learn her past so maybe she really wasn't an enemy? And then her actions are very rough / tough on most people. It is only in the new chapter did we learn a bit why she was all mean with the player (doctor). 4. Jessica (Water Quench) - Her original form is one of the best four star snipers. Here is her alt form who is older. She's a rich cat that wanted to live a life different from what was expected from her by her family. She's rich because apparently, bullets and gunpowder are sooooo expensive. She has access on them because her family actually manufactures them. As far as I know, she's the only op that uses real guns with real bullets. She is also easily scared so... XD But she has matured a bit in her alt (future) form. 5. Pepe (Pepe's theme) - She is such an adorable, fun character that is heavily invested in history (the truth part of it). So she travels to find the real history. 6. Control's Wishes [Lonetrail event theme song] - Space, Fake sky, Balls, and Gravity. XD It has a fun mechanic where you can possibly clear a stage just by using the game mechanic of changing the gravity pull. 7. Towerfierce - if I remember correctly, this was composed by Go Shiina who is a composer for some of the sound tracts from God Eater, Code Vein, and Demon Slayer. 8. Ulpianus (Vows of the Sea) - He's a humpback whale XD He's the commander of the people you see on the screen. He was thought to have died but he survived. He hid and learned more about the enemy of the event. The enemies here are called the seaborn and the insidious Church of the Deep. All four of them are unique in the sense that their ultimate end is to be like the very enemies they are killing now. 9. Lappland Alter (Unmask) - She is crazy. Psycho crazy. But she's still functional. XD What else can I say about this sassy lupo (wolf). Can't say how she's different in this event since it hasn't come to global yet and I don't read story spoilers on the CN side. But the beat and lyrics are sooo lappland. 10. Rosmontis - she's so strong and her arts destructive so she only gets deployed like a last resort. She was experimented on so now she has a really bad memory. She does try her best though.

Istg, Nikke invited us in for the fan-service, but once we got a taste of their stories and osts, it just hits ._. The first time when I played the Red Ash event, and heard "Hold you tight", that song just got stucked in my head for a long while, it just made me feel emotional everytime I listen to it.

There are some points in Nikke where you can tell that the game is very much inspired by Nier Automata, and the devs never hide it.

Context for "goodbye for now"- Modernia(the one on the left) has had her corruption, the same illness that Red Hood was suffering with, cured but she has reverted to a child like mental state only knowing that the player character was important to her in some way. (Modernia is a different form of Marrian, the girl on the right) In order to protect her from the central government who want to "investigate" her but in reality disect her for information about the corruption, our squad has to make the hard decision to leave her with another group of Nikkes who promise to look after her until in the player characters words "I become strong enough to protect you". Of course in her child like state Modernia does not want to leave saying she wont make mistakes like dumping flour on herself, or wearing her underwear on her head, believing that the player character and our squad hates her not understanding that its for her own protection. This song i believe came out for Modernias "Second Affection" side story where she unlocks a new form and has "grown up" a little finally understanding why things had to be this way.

I almost never cry and unfortunately this isn't an exception but I personally will admit that it was very heartwarming and I will say they are most likely using some of wuwa's budget for some of these animations even though their animations have mostly been like this

Pretty sad to see such a negative opinion of the soundtrack... I watched around 4h of this stream and even tho getting told over and over again that he "likes" the music he just constantly seems to dislike it? That's just the feeling I get as a viewer. Also sad to see that nobody told him that music is so short because this game often switches between tracks and that's also why most tracks are so short. They are build to be repeatable if you stay longer in a scene or in a menu but they often play just for some seconds before switching. I also heavily disagree with your opinion on most songs but I'd say that's fine because we all feel different about songs and music. Still kinda sad for me as a viewer. But as long as you had fun in the stream that's great and I hope you find music in other games that you like more. I also hope you don't take this comment too negatively I just wrote down what I felt after watching until 4:29:00h so yeah.... If you actually liked the soundtrack tho, I'm sorry for making assumptions, and there definitely are tracks I got the feeling you liked, just making that clear

The reasons for why they always end when the music starts to get good near the end are because of two things: 1. Because the OSTs are usually not that long, which normally consists of mostly 2-min per soundtrack 2. It's because they are composed for mainly loops, which is why the ended up having cliffhangers (that would be the part where they start the loop) *Hope this helps you understand more about how BA music works and i hope you enjoy it as well.* I take pride in its music as a huge fan of Blue Archive.
