Переглядів 4,7 тис.2 роки тому
AKA How to Find the Magic Move. In 6 minutes I'll explain the concepts and the secret drill to get you shallower than most at your local club. If you have ever: 1. Decided youre not good enough to shallow the club 2. Been told you have a nice swing but youre steep. 3. Tried the wall drill and then when you hit a ball youre still steep. 4. Get it shallow but then lose it after you start rotating...
How to rotate in 6 minutes - Part 2 (Shallowing, before you do)

Warning a touch of humor inside. This one covers why you might still be pitching the club a little too steep...If you steep you'll find it pretty hard to rotate...Its a bit of a ramble but the main idea is you gotta stay wide, dont max out your wrists and your hands need to drop not just the club! The drills here are intended to get you to first feel the clubhead. In the next video I'll talk ab...
How to Rotate in 6 minutes - PART 1 (3 Myths, 3 Hints)

Warning a touch of humor inside. This is more of a primer on why some ideas harm your rotation. Most likely you already do a lot of really good things in your swing. You're probably just exaggerating every facet necessary to open up. Here's 3 myths that hurt my own progress and 3 hints to unlock your own rotation and tour-like positions. I'm a regular Joe who figured this out without formal ins...

Lee Trevino Swing - The best video on how to get rid of a slice in less than 30 minutes
Brilliant! Bought back so many fond memories of watching Lee at The Open on many occasions.
Everyone should try Trevino’s way. Aim miles left and hit it right to get on line. It works
Classic footage. Thanks so much for the upload.
Glad you enjoyed it
I've only recently realised how long Jack used to take to hit the freakin' golf ball ! 😮
greased his driver
Really? That’s legendary 😂
Jack's had more seconds than Tiger had firsts.
Jack won 18 majors and had 19, 2nd place finishes in majors. Tiger has won 15 majors and 7, 2nd place finishes and never won unless leading the final round, until his last major.
Back when "trucker hats" were actually cool. 🤣
LOVE it! Balata and tour blades and two of the greatest ever.
And the voice of John Facenda?! Thank you!
I think this was NFL Films' sole venture into golf coverage ?
I just love that guy I even named my son Lee 😂❤😂❤
I’m Not really clear on what I am supposed to do? Put the tie on the end of the club and point it where?
My golf idol is Tom Watson but Lee Trevino is my favorite golfer to watch and listen to. He is a magician with a golf club! Love ya Lee Buck
I know this is an old video, but I've found that Trevino's swing has given me the permission to swing this way (which feels incredibly natural). Tried to get your PDF, but the link's dead. Any chance there's a way to get it? I ordered a used copy of Trevino's book, but would love to check out your PDF as well. Thanks!
lol why’d they use the Jurassic Park music?
Thanks for the upload! Great stuff. Love Trevino ... his swing, ball striking ... everything. So idiosyncratic, so awesome.
Awesome
Lee Trevino was my deceased husband's great uncle
He was a little green when he said the US Open was the greatest golf tournament in the world. He won the best in 71 and 72.
Great film, thanks!
They left out the camera man messed him up twice on the 17 tee
Damn shame when you have Mexican blood in your veins look like a Mexican and can't speak Spanish.
Saw Lee win the'84 PGA at Nicklaus designed Shoal Creek outside Birmingham, Alabama
I did a TV piece on Rick Trevino in 1981 in Huntsville, Al
Didn't want to be introduced on 10th tee like everyone else . He had won a bunch of senior events and was stressed out
They spoke of great summers of golf by lee, ben, jack but left out the summer of 1930. Really good doc of lee he is fantastic.
Jurassic music?
the greens at ridgewood are very elevated, the camera does not really capture it.
He had a funny story about mowing his own lawn..Lady driving by wanted to hire him!
I was an executive at Horizon Land Corp who owned Horizon Hills which was within Horizon City. I think the best thing that ever happened to Lee was leaving the Cub pro job at our Club. I remember that he was asked to leave as there were some problems.
Guess what? All those good ol boys who denied Lee his PGA card... were Democrats 🤨🖕🏻
The Masters is a shit show.... I'm with ya Lee
Lee Buck Trevino gave Jack Nicklaus fits on countless occasions. Had he not been struck by lightning at his absolute peak, he probably would have won more than ten majors. The best striker of a ball other than Ben Hogan in the game of golf.
Great job! This is the best way to relive a past event. Please do more like this!
Looks like he paid a price for his success
Legend
In these contemporary times what 'Ol Man Golf' needs are more Lee Trevino's.😕🤗🙏😇 God Bless you Lee. Thanks for the memories.👑👍
Augusta Golf Course represents everything ugly about golf. Formerly, all Caddies were black and they admitted their first black member in 1990. Today, in 2021, they have 9 black members. In 2012 they allowed women to be members and have 7 and still refuse to host a LPGA tournament.
Seve has a wonderful story too.... Very similar to Lee, but from Spain... a very poor kid, a child caddy, started with 1 club as a tip, and played a guy for his 1 club and then had 2 clubs... no stopping him from there. Lee & Seve were and are 'Poster Boys' for all poor kids that are not 'Country Club' boys....!!
Nicklas & Trevino were a perfect Match,,,, They had perfectly mismatched personalities and equal skills; one white, the other dark, one rich the other poor, one quiet the other loud, one tall the other short..... Perfect Rivals... Never will be anything like them again... They changed the 'Golf-World'..!!
Jack was 5 10 average height. He wasn’t born rich but middle upper class. His dad was a pharmacist. But yea definitely different backgrounds.
A truly magnificent story about a great golfer & man. Thank you.
The long game brought me here
Thank You for this Documentary!!!
loved the Doc Thanks
A great golfer no doubt. A great American that served our great country. For the first time ( Dummy Me )I notice that he is a great teacher and maybe it was his greatest gift.
Never played golf and didn't realise it was such a class-based thing.
Excellent, thanks for posting this!
Super win by Lee. Jack always gracious, even in losing.
I had the pleasure of playing golf with Trevino at The Greenbiar 5 years ago. I asked him about Augusta. He was very open with me about all aspects of his life (surprisingly). I will vouch for all the good things said about him. He was very to the point about Augusta. Said the controversies were overblown. Said plenty of the classic old clubs that hosted tournaments were snooty, not just Augusta. He told me Augusta didn’t suit him because there was no rough. Zero rough until they went to so called “Tiger proofing it”. Said he did so well in US Opens because he was the only one always in the fairway. Augusta- everything was the fairway. No bad lies, no penalty. Said Jack overpowered the course fearlessly because no penalty for slightly errant drives. Same for Palmer. IMHO- upon reflection, I buy that. From his lips.
Thanks for sharing that! Cheers Amigo!
This is why i loved watching the likes of Trevino then Woosnam compared to the likes of Nicklaus then Faldo, they just got on with the game and hit the ball whereas the latter two were like watching paint dry. Trevino could do stuff that other golfers would never try bar the great Ballesteros, two magicians on a golf course. Cheers.
nailed it ... Lee is My Guy === unbridled brilliance !!!
the audience looks like they are on death's door
