I'm the first one to post a speedrun of this game, and I hope I'm not the last. I had to make up some rules for the "glitchless" category:
- Before you start the run, you must unlock the mace, spike and jet hammer (by picking them up), so that they appear in the starting room.
- Before you start the run, you must unlock all perks (by beating the game).
- Start the speedrun in NewGame+0 mode.
- Start your recording in or before the "press any button" screen.
- In the starting room, take only the 4 basic weapons that appear below you. Don't take a boss weapon, arena weapon, secret weapon or yoyo from the starting room (though you can take a yoyo that you find inside the dungeon).
- Don't trick doors into staying open after you pass, don't go through or send anything through doors that "ought to be" closed.
- Don't take the weapon dash perk.
- Don't yank the boss' weapon away from him hard enough to break it. If you can see a line between the boss and his weapon but the weapon isn't being pulled towards the boss, it's broken.
- In general, don't exploit things that will be fixed in the next patch.
- End your recording in or after the screen showing the timer and the "0+1".
- Multiplayer mode is a separate category.
If you're trying to get the game running:
- Complete the tutorial before changing things in the options menu (otherwise the game sometimes freezes on a gray screen).
- Zooming out is currently an experimental feature, so you can only do it by editing your settings.ini file in AppData.
