Hi, thanks so much for commenting! A couple things that I think will help: 1. Senjutsu has everyone choose a card then flip it over simultaneously, so that at once everyone can immediately see each others cards. After this point you cannot change your card (page 13) 2. The Senjutsu counterattack system depends on the # at the top left of the card. When someone plays a counterattack card, there is an extra gamble on the fact that their opponent played a card with that #. Then some counterattack cards will always counter the opponent in some way, (AFTER a successful block) but the effect solely depends on that #. 3. On page 19 it defines that counterattacks can only happen AFTER a successful block so they put the golden rule there for a couple of reasons: -Because you see everyone's cards at the beginning, and then anticipate the counter, for the sake of the game and treating others as you'd want to be treated (Golden Rule). If you pulled that # and gambled successfully on top of a block. Then the strategy or even the chances it takes to do so should be rewarded or celebrated in the game. It's all about someone spending all their energy, and even their best card. Just to be blocked and countered. It's a bit of an oversight in the mechanics of the game if you ask me. Although you can also see it as mimicking the harshness of swordplay and strategy. Hope this helps!

Welcome to the channel, thank you for being here :) I agree! I tend to have a harder time with them as I love the somewhat long grueling tactical gameplay Mythic Battles has. Titans make it easier which some might prefer I guess.

@@TheLighterTheDarkerCo They do seem appealing and a blast to play with considering how strong they are, but I think to myself "what's the point?" They're able to destroy most units quickly making for an underwhelming game. Units such as Titan Fenrir almost seem ridiculous with being able to completely null another's player's troop unit permanently. Makes for some interesting tactical choices, but... meh. I guess if people are looking for a quicker Mythic Battles game, it makes sense to choose Titans as their divinities. Glad to have found this channel. Excited to see what else you guys upload.

That is to be announced, but our subscribers will be the first to know! Additionally, they have Mecamorphosis in the works which seems to have a horror/survivor theme. So it ultimately depends on which they decide to release first.

@Elthenar nothing has been released gameplay wise, just trying to spread the news for others who like their games. Also that it's in the Legend of the five rings universe. Which has a lot of following. There's not even a kickstarter page and all this info was released yesterday. I linked the articles in the description. As more comes out about the game, I will share more info. BTW this isn't a monolith video, I'm not sponsored in anyway. I said in this short it looks good but we'll have to see gameplay wise when it rolls out.

Not sure you played it well. The tidal wave last until the end of it's next activation, but you're trapped in an aquatic terrain. As such you have no talents, so you can't guard, can't use Berserk, an can't move becauise Jormungand has block while you don't have access to your talents. (until you're using a fast flight!) Also, if he destroys your troops, you can't recall it as the area is full. How did you used your free deploy against Jormungand? Also, Odin can evade the area attack as he's a flying unit

Andreas! 🤜🤛👏🤝 Good to see you! I have played Typhon, and he is a powerhouse. I totally agree with Gilles above, maybe try it again! But, I get how 10rp titans aren't everyone's cup of tea. I tend to prefer having more rp to draft with myself. Looked into Andromeda & Periphetes because we don't have them (yet 🤞) . They would totally work well! We also just played with Arachne for the second time last game and I was amazed how much she interrupted my plans. Really underrated character! I know I say this a lot, but I am super glad to have you as part of our community. 😁

Natalie loves Thor whereas I cast Tyr and Angerboda frequently. Tyr's starting stats are insane and Angerboda has the board of a divinity! She's one of my favorite monsters, especially when you wanna go for an "all monsters" team. Hope you're having an awesome weekend! - Westin.

Hey Westin tbh im less enthusiasted, commenting. Im havin a break from mythic battles right now from frustration 😢 The "castling-strategy" is imo too dominant. Its drafting as many gem collectors as possibble & rush out. especialy when they have 2 on top. They claim from range 3 while still standing outside of reach of enemies. Just frustrating . . . These units have such a high draft-rate that about half of the draft-pool is ignored. Sure i can draft away the gem collectors, but the core problem is still the same: All the same same units are drafted every game & it tires me . . . I still like to comment 😊 I find Heimdal a bit boring. Great stats & talents. Not my fave. Odin is definately the more interesting one. Block + Berserk is dangerous. A free & good troop ? i take that always when he already costs 8 rp. I would always go for Odin ^^ As next VS, how about Titans ? I was thinkin about Surt & Jörmungandr.

@andreasklein525 My dear friend! Thanks for sharing even in this midst of taking a break. That is incredibly unfortunate! I would say that even the best games, can have unintentional cheap tactics. A difference I've noticed between BGA compared to being in person, is there can be a lack of personability and respect. I guess you could call it table manner. It's kind of like button mashing in fighting games. If someone does that to you, in real life while you're playing a game. You can feel that it's no longer fun. Same here, when the game becomes about winning rather than experiencing passion, it's no longer entertaining in anyway. When I have time, and you've returned, let's schedule a game on BGA. We can even promise to not draft Gem Collectors (: Onto other things, thanks for sharing your thoughts on these God's. I'm finding alot of contrast about the opinions of these characters. Which is very fascinating. I think Odin is also my preference, but I enjoy both. Also for you, we will absolutely do Titans. I wanted to include a Pantheon unit but we will absolutely pick either Surt or Jormungandr. Which would you like to see more good friend? Apart from Mythic Battles, we're working on the Runescape Board Game review.
