it looks like that bc ive used air roll for some time so thats how I adapted to it. its gonna be diff for you. Work on going in free play using air left or right, then after getting used to that, start using tornado spins aas a direction adjustment.

you need to work on dribbles and basic aerial shots. Work on rotations if playing 2s or 3s. practice on knowing when to go for challenges, you can rewatch some of your games for that

tornado spinning is a form when using air roll left or right. just press down your air roll left button and move joystick to the left. Afterword's, you should be tornado spinning. if you are just using tornado spinning and want to stop, then let go of air roll.

The answer to your question depends on which directional air roll you use. Im still learning air roll left myself but to answer your question (assuming u use air roll left) to turn right you would move your joystick from the right position to the upwards position, or start from the upwards position and move it to the left (to put greater emphasis on pointing the nose down). Its easier to visualize what each input does as you rotate the stick to adjust the car when you take into consideration the rotation from air rolling. As the car air rolls left, and the hood is facing me, me pushing up points the noise down (which gradually faces the right due to air roll left) and because i rotate the joystick from upwards position to left, i exaggerated the right turn. Theres a website on “rocket league help” website that compiles information for directional air roll and some graphs to explain each joystick motion and the effects it has on your car. If what I said earlier doesnt make sense at least check that website and try to mess around with different quarter-circle motions to get the main idea. May we both learn it together 🙏

I find it to be a personal preference. I use it bc it was the easiest for me to use.

Yeah u dont want that because sometimes you want to fly straight and u get really small adjustment when u press it down. Try L2, which is also awkward, but its analog and it feels so smooth in the air. Try square or something otherwise

@@xmz7999 X or square? I had mine on square first but switched which was for the better, but halfflipping is now really awkward, and breaking to double jumping too. However, the precision in the air pffff

@@Tsomomma x on an xbox controller (i play on pc tho) so yeah square, it ended up being most natural to me as my thumb is there mostly for drift so it works out well

Thats what takes hours on hours to master. After a while u build up muscle memory and dont really need to think about it, but to begin with u should notice how ur car reacts when pointing up down or sideways

that is reasonable enough, some people learn others the easiest but, I put them in this order because a lot of other players find doubles difficult. Plus, doubles are not really recommended until c2-3 as no body in the lower rank does them.

@@Theitical I find that surprising. Reading bounces off the wall starts before arialing imo. I see tons of doubles more than any other mechanic. Even just normal air dribbles. Now I’m not referring to soft touch doubles. Like I said before you hit the ball twice. In c2 - c3 people are getting a ton of touches before the double.
