I use a set of Roland TD15 Vdrums sampling Superior Drummer 2 and 3. I try to get as close as I can to the original
studio drum sound to show the versatility of sampling real drum sounds using the Roland Vdrums. Using software
to remove the drum track from the cover song I want to record, I use Reaper to record my drum track then edit the video.
I use a Focusrite Scarlett interface which I highly recommend. I've never had latency issues. I started this during the
pandemic because my band was'nt playing and it kept me still involved musically while learning to record and edit audio.

Recorded in my home studio during Covid when venue's were shut down, we started recording Tom Petty and Beatle covers.

Everlong was written by Dave Grohl who also played all the instruments on this track. Taylor Hawkins joined the band a few years later and is sadly missed today.
How are you connecting the Td-15 to your computer? Roland stopped making drivers for the td-15 I can’t connect on my newer MacBook.
I connect it via midi to a Focusrite Scarlett 2/4 interface then usb to computer. Cheers

This is really great. Any chance you could share how you got your sound in SD3?
Sorry for the delay. I start with a default kit like the Gretsch, then swap out snares and kicks for the closest sound to the original drum track. The snare is a 8x14 Lignum custom pear stave stacked with the 10x14 Rogers yorktown eagle badge jasper. The kick is the 20x22 Ayotte clasic. The toms are the default Gretsch.
