The game audio does not have any music at all, and because I want the experience to be what you would have in the game I did not add any myself either. I just got to 14 about 30m ago and tested out the pump. I'm sorry, 8.2k/min regen with each pump only supplying 350/min? That's 24 pumps just to barely overcome the regen rate. That is just an absolutely insane jump from 12 and 13 which only needed 2-4 pumps to easily move out the sand and get down to the bottom.
Yeah, I agree with you that the jump wasn't right. I would of liked to see the sand pumps doing the same speed that they did on 12 for the rest of the levels. With that being said, I was excited to see that the scale of production had to be increased at that point in the game. I would of preferred it if wasn't for fuel, but I was feeling like the rest of the game was pretty easy up to that point. I play a lot of automation games though, so I don't know if everyone wanted the same thing.
I don't mind the increase of sand regen or the pump decrease in general. It feels like the larger stuff is getting stuck at the top and the finer material is sinking downwards - the smaller the particles the faster and easier it is to move. But the sudden jump from roughly 2k/min to over 8k/min is mind boggling. Ballparking the numbers 12 > 13 is roughly +50% regen/-25% pump speed. Then 13 > 14 is +300% regen/-50% pump speed. It feels like when they reduced the number of levels they just removed the ones in the middle and didn't adjust the numbers to match. And I do agree. The game doesn't have any sort of time limit before you hit 12 and if you want to just stop and explore or expand something there's no reason to try to rush things. Though apparently you in fact have a finite amount of resources? I've had a few drills shut off due to that section of the vein disappearing.
Yes, resources are finite on default settings. I didn't find that to be much of an issue through my playthrough of 1.0 though. They give you more than plenty to get through the content.
If you look closely, you can see he's holding up one finger. This is a reference to the fact that he's only got one tip. And it's a very nice tip.
Now I'm curious if you're talking about the tip in the video or not. Kappa
@@iltisine We both know.
I put in a few tips to the devs to only be told on the Steam forum they have closed down due to money constraints (although i never looked into it) which is a shame cos it's a good game and would have been nice to have some support and even the addition of mods.
I've heard the same thing which is a shame. I agree with you though. Great game, a lot of unique buildings for the automation genre too.
Who is that weirdo at the end saying to listen to ILT? Mistakes were made!!!! Good video, informative and sharing your opinion of potential work arounds was a great touch! Keep em coming buddy!
Thanks man!
On level 14 do you need to oump the level to 0 ? Or after scanning the lima sign can you stop .
You do not need to pump all the way to 0. I do not know exactly how far you need to go either unfortunately. I thought it was about halfway on each of the levels 12+, it feels about right, but might be wrong. For me it's a completionist thing. I got it in my head that I wasn't done until all of those levels were at 0. I managed to get it done too.
Thank you for sharing your set up. I am curious what your sesamite coolant production set up is like. How extensive does it need to be to have sufficient volume to keep the refined biodiesel system going without stopping?
Each "section" of the setup uses 36 sesamite coolant, and the recipe that uses shiverthorn coolant and sesamite powder produces 24 per minute. It works out to 1.5 machines making sesamite collant per section, or 3 for every two. I also added one extra machine for a little extra production. For the 6 setups I have producing the biofuel, I currently have 10 machines making sesamite coolant. The shiverthorn coolant I produce making iron mechanism, shiverthorn extract, and sesamite powder. It produces 1000 a minute which is enough to feed all of that with just 1 machine. I consider this something I missed in the video. It would of been nice to include as well. Thanks for the question, and let me know if that answer is written well enough.
@@iltisine Thank you. I was able to finish the game. I started with one refined biodiesel factory production setup but ended up setting up separate unrefined production lines on each sand floor. I found using unrefined biodiesel worked well but would use my stockpiled refined biodiesel if my production lines hit a snag. Then once I had the production line backup and running, I would switch back to the unrefined.
You're welcome. I'm glad you were able to finish up with it :)
you can stack the pumps :D
I should of made a comment on this in the video. I'm aware you can stack the pumps, it just felt cheesy to me with how the pumps clip. It was just personal preference for me not to.
Amazing work and explanation! Thanks a lot
Glad you liked it. Thank you.
hottub stream while playing techtonica? ROFL just teasing ILT ... informative and well done ... keep it up!
Thank you
You're welcome
Well done ILT. Just one mention pertaining to the elevator that you either forgot , or decided not to cover ---> the "person" elevator has power transfer capabilities. You can connect your grid via wires to the top part of the elevator and via wire on the bottom through a transformer to power buildings underground saving time making a channel or hole to run foundation down for power. Especially important on some of the deeper veins throughout the game. Not a criticism ... just an addendum to what you brilliantly put together here! Keep up the great work!
Thank you Fire. You are definitely correct, I didn't cover that aspect. I don't actually use it. While you can connect high voltage power through the elevator, I actually don't like that personally. I would rather use it to dig a hole to the level, and then destroy it so I can run a path of building blocks in it's place to get the low voltage power down. I think it's cleaner looking, building blocks are cheaper on material cost than poles if it's a long run, and it prevents the need for high voltage power on the parts of the map you go to get resources when that would otherwise be the only reason it's there.
@@iltisine that is all good my friend. Just be aware that once you get to DEEP mining with Ore Vein miners ... They require HVP. Not meant as a "spoiler" just a heads up my friend.
Looks cool, wanna check it out sometime
I definitely think it's worth a playthrough in it's current state. It is still early access, and I hope it only gets better. :)

Thanks! I'm guessing that using Splitter and Mergers is a LOT faster than using Inserters to move product onto a new belt. I definitely need to do that. I've been able to get three belts running out of a Splitter but you have to design the side belts to go out 1 square from the splitter first . . . then curve around and back in to run parallel to the center belt. If you try to curve the side belts 90 degrees straight out of the Splitter, it erases the Splitter (version 0.2.1).
You're welcome! Right now the game is constantly changing and updating. I think personally the splitters and mergers, or using inserters to move product from one belt to another both have their uses in different scenarios. Inserters only place items on a belt if there is a gap, or open area so they can be useful for prioritization. I do believe they're changing splitters and mergers soon, not sure how long the information in the video will be relevant.
Ty!!!!!!!!!!!
Yw.
How can you upgrade a row of belts at once ? Do you have to delete that row of belts and install the upgraded belts?
Yes, as of the last time I played the only way to upgrade belts was to remove them and replace them with a higher tier. I believe they have mentioned this as something to work on in a future update, but I'm not 100% sure on that. They do live stream under "FireHoseGames" on twitch if you do want to ask about the future mechanics.
Most achievement guides for this are really hard to follow, because they entirely fail to explain the concept of how this works and just list out vague steps that are hard to replicate without understanding what it is you are trying to do (e.g. their repeat step sounds like repeat if you fail, not that you are required to incrementally accumulate total speed across multiple warps). This made it so much easier. Thanks.
Appreciate the feedback, giving out understanding of how it works is better than just telling someone how to get it.
Well formatted, and logical, this covered everything I can think of dealing with belts masterfully. Very nice touch placing in the bloopers at the end LOVED it! Something I think that could be a challenge for you and helpful for many new players would be some visuals on the effects of science on the ratios of processing stuffs.
Thanks for the idea!
In yer chat, stealing yer megahertz.😂

Nice work !
Thanks!
You said that there are four logic blocks, but there are actually 7.
You are absolutely right. That was definitely an oversight on my part. Thank you.

Thanks for the guide - helped me figure this one out! I like your mecha blueprint - did you make it yourself and if so - could you share? :O
I didn't make it myself actually, I got it from another streamer. Jigabot. You can find him on Twitch as well.
Big help. Achievement unlocked thanks
Thanks for this guide! Helped me a lot to get achievement 😊👍
Thanks, it's cool this is still helping :)
great video. It would have been nice if you showed the redstone as a virgin planet. Would you like to show the planets of the galactic scale mod. greetings from Argentina
I wanted to, that is the only redstone in my current save actually. Thank you. I don't mod in any of my games.
