Midcoast last year pulled out of operating the Rockland Branch as most of the Dragon traffic dried up as Dragon closed its cement plant late last year. Maine DOT is currently looking for a new operator on the branch for the 3 remaining customers.

I snagged a cab ride in the 3000 from Danville Jct to Berlin right after it had fresh paint. Right around this time period. It was the trailing unit on 393 that day. It think it had 3 units and 70-80 cars that day. I literally wore out a car chasing and videoing this railroad, starting my day in Danville Jct and quite often following to Island Pond and sometimes returning to Danville. Spent many 12 - 15 hour days. Back then most things took place in daylight, with the inter-modal running at night both directions. Caught the Berlin mill switcher on occasion pulling cars off from 393.

Sweet memories of long gone times! I remember meeting 393 when we worked Groveton yard. Got to know the crews well!

I’ve walked, XC skied, snowmobiled, ridden on and next to those tracks from Milli to South Twin Lake. My Old stomping grounds.We were always in those tracks. Best place to grow up.

36:48 Nice dusk shot! Haven't seen many crossing signals like that where there isn't a diverging road. I wasn't a fan of CSX, but they've scored big points for me with the investment in upgrades to Mattawamkeag. Long overdue under PAR. Hope the interchange traffic with NBM/EMR is worthwhile. If you look to the right at the 22:15 mark, that's the Holiday Inn in Concord. We stay there whenever we visit my son and his family. That line is in much better condition now.

I’m n9t entirely sure on the oil to Dover, but I do know most of the tank traffic on the NHN goes to Rochester, where there’s a satellite drop point for Ossipee Aggregates, as well as Eastern Propanes hub (same location)…

Lots of variety; many of these I have chased coming on railfan excursions from Canada. Got some new ideas from this video. Great coverage, good shots.

Wonderful chase! We used to camp In Bryant Pond then Honey mooned there in 1983! Used to occasionally get lucky to see the CN powered Freight Trains in daylight! Super shots here!!! Thanks for sharing!

I live in Wilton NH and my neighbor who is a meth dealer goes in the middle of the night and steals gravel from the railroad tracks. The police don't do anything because they are Buddy Buddy with the meth dealer.

TV-95 used to get out of Waterville mid-day with JB Hunt traffic.

Guilford, later Pan Am, now CSX runs Eimskip containers today. This was the only Guilford intermodal that ran with JB Hunt traffic, but later moved this traffic to the regular manifest.
