    Do you watch these before you post them, Joe? There's something about the editing - it's very choppy and cuts off words. The sound volume varies, as well. Unfortunately, I have no advice for you on how to fix it, because I don't know how to edit on a phone, but if you get it worked out, these could be pretty cool. Maybe someone else out there in the UA-cam world can offer some tips. :)

    An important difference for me: the prefabricated 1:6 scale model has a realistic door opening just like the real car. As I see on the Fanhome website, the doors of their 1:8 Batmobile swing out in front of the fenders when opened, which is more like a toy car.

      The company is Fanhome. They do a monthly subscription service. For this particular subscription the 1966 Batmobile your first package you get two stages and then six stages each additional month until it’s completed, 100 stages total. www.fanhome.com/us/movie-series/batmobile/ The larger Batmobile is from Jazz Inc. dioramas. It’s mostly molded plastic unlike fan home where you put it all together and it’s mostly metal.

    Joe, just saw this video today as I am in planning stages for a shed build for my predator 6500, what I've learned is that I will need to weld an exhaust adaptor onto the fitting located on the muffler, then attach the flex pipe with a u bolt. I noticed in your build 2 years ago you simply slipped the fitting over the arrestor, and I believe you indicated it slipped off at one time. Question is did you stay with the slip on style or end up welding the adaptor to the nipple on the muffler?

    • @joemarino7430
      @joemarino7430 10 місяців тому

      Hey Jim. I kept the slip on. Still to this day. I just tightened the u bolt more. It’s been ok. since I posted that video I haven’t had a black out yet. I only start her up once in a while to keep the engine lubed. I can’t really undo what I made with the dryer vent exhaust. But if I had to do it again, I would’ve done instead of the dryer vent put two pieces of hardy board around my shed and ducted that black pipe through there instead of the set up I have with the dryer vent. And if I was really skilled enough, I would’ve made a woodshed.

    • @jimgray6788
      @jimgray6788 10 місяців тому

      Joe, thanks for the update I think I’ll try that first because I don’t wanna have to weld anything onto that muffler flange yet. Sorry but I don’t recall what size flexible pipe you used to fit over that flange was it 1 inch with a 1 inch bolt? And did you get it from Amazon, thank you very much Joe I’m gonna use my shed to power a boatlift I have on a lot that has no electricity

    use nylock nuts, avail home depot, they have nylon embedded in nut to prevent it from coming loose. good for vibration. Suncast makes a bigger shed 5' L x 4' H x 3'D at Menards for 300.00, wood will make solid shed, and probably run quieter too.

    I always see everyone connecting an exhaust extension on these sheds. Do you think that with the amount of air flow the fan is producing that it would be enough to also suck out the exhaust and heat? Just wondering if anyone has tried this without putting a separate exhaust extension.

    • @joemarino7430
      @joemarino7430 2 роки тому

      No it’s not, I believe. Once I had the clamp come loose and it filled the shed with so many fumes and smoke the fan was not dissipating it. Plus the exhaust is extremely hot and it needs to be directed away from the plastic. This project wasn’t much of a unique project I followed the many similar vids. Maybe if I had to do it again I might use wood or metal to make it more professional. The metal infused hush mat is really holding up and insulating.

    Where did you get the generator wheels?

    Cheapest sound deadening - 2 x 4 ceiling tiles. Easily cut to fit, fireproof, good at dampening noises. Also, in your third video, comments are turned off. You can kill a lot of the remaining noise by building a baffle around the two vents on the ends. Just a rectangular box lined with ceiling tile, so the sound has to make some turns on the way out. And an additional muffler on the exhaust will also help. Maybe 5 gallon bucket filled with insulation and a perforated pipe running down the middle like a glas-pac muffler. You can probably get the noise level down to 70 right next to the box. If the wheels interfere with the insulation, take them off and put it on wood blocks. It doesn't need wheels inside that shed.

    Joe, how about the rubber mats to place under the geneerator under the shed to see if it diminishes the vibration and some of the noice. Just athought.

      that is a great idea, I might just do that. One thing I didn't mention in the video is on the underside of the shed floor I sprayed clear flex seal, so I hope that's doing something, I'm not sure. But I think the mat idea will give me results I can hear, or not hear. LOL

      Those I don’t have a link for because I picked them up at the home store, either Home Depot or Lowe’s. They are common and there are several different styles and manufacturers so you can take your pick of what you like best

    The hush mat is a great idea for sound proofing. I would imagine that if your power is out your neighbors power is too. They'd probably understand the noise. But then again, I don't live in California. We had severe thunderstorms rip through our area last month which knocked our power out for 50 hrs, you couldn't drive down the road with out hearing gennies running from just about every home on my street.

      I heard about the stories of people in the middle of the night stealing generators. Because the sound draws their attention.
