How to Repair Any Drip Coffee Maker
Переглядів 312 тис.10 років тому
This video shows you how to repair any drip coffee maker that brews slowly or not at all. The two main causes that are covered in this video are 1) clogged heating element and 2) clogged or stuck ball valve in water supply line.
Useless for 1997 f150! The fuse box is completely different
need help troubleshott wont brew ...i have a hamilton beach single serve coffee maker ...recently has been intermittent partial brewing and now it wont brew at all...i have solid blue light and when hit brew button you can hear relay click sound but it wont brew...last week it did something odd half way through brew process it was steaming like crazy and making crackling sounda..i had to unplu to stop it...i took apart and tested thermal fuses and are good...i tested heating element coils good...i tested the some sort safety sensor on top of heat tank and is good....the only think i can think of now is the small circuit board that sends power to the heat element must bed bad????....i also cleaned all the rubber hoses and blew from bottom of heat tank and its all clear ..on mine the 1way valve was stuck open both directions i cleaned it out and now it works 1 way which is good..this is probably why it was partial brewing and sometimes steaming gurgling sometimes but...maybe the main board is now failed? .still will not brew at all..wont heat ..does nothing ..has ready light but when brew button is pushed.it doesnt heat doesnt brew...no sounds at all other than the relay click when brew button pushed
not much has changed with coffee makers if this was from 10 years ago. had the same issue and helped getting to at least work again ty
I've worked on around 5 or more coffee makers that will almost always run into that red ball valve, and I've noticed they make that valve defective by design when you work it out of the hose (by pinching it little by little, it comes out) and examining it. For closer access you took off the heating plate, and I never have to do this, I can just go straight to the hoses... I was really here to search for a way to bypass that valve once and for all;)...
You answered my question seven seconds in. Couldn't see how to open the fuse box, and didn't want to break the old plastic. I have .45 amp quiescent current, so have been going through each fuse and relay. Putting them back in with DeoxIT.
Excellent thank you very much.
I have a 2000 f 150 and the fuse box is in the passenger side kick panel I am looking for the horn relay all the owners manual says there is only a fuse
I have the same Mr Coffee coffee maker. I did my annual deep clean of the inside and reservoir last night, and when i woke up this morning to make coffee, I plugged it in, the display is flashing the time (12:00), but none of the buttons are working. I use a lot of water when i clean the inside, so I’m guessing some kind of water damage, idk?
Perfect video 😎
Thanks just replaced both headlight bulbs and could not figure out why my LS headlight won't come on 😅 when I turned on high beam it did come on 😅 now I know to replace #28 (low beam headlight). Have a great Saturday 😊
Witch one is for the speedometer
The manual doesn't look like the actual fuse panel.
Hey it worked!!! Easy fix thanks!!!
Where's the relay for the lights and brake lights and stuff please
Didn’t work for me.
THANKS - this saved us a new coffee maker ($150)
Nice information about the ball / check valve. I have not seen a video relaying that information before. Thanks.
Thanks for this mate. Worked a treat!
Thanks for posting this! I fixed it!!!
I'll fill the reservoir with 12 cups and only get 9 cups of coffee and the reservoir empty. What is going on???
Hey thanks Man! 👍🏼 I didn't have to buy a new coffee machine because you shared your awesome video. Although my problem was a calcium clog inside the heating element. It's cleared out and making delicious coffee thanks to you. Your wonderful, fantastic and outstanding! Keep up the great work!
Fuse for ac/h
I'm wiring my aftermarket radio. I need a 12v switched power source. What fuse location is it?
Which one is for the windshield wipers
Thank you for this!!! I cleaned mine yesterday and when I removed the bottom cover I saw that but didn’t know what it was on my cuisinart cbc-00 coffee maker!!! Since the hose was loose and not in the slot. I’ll take it apart tomorrow and install the valve!
How about every time you make a pot, set aside a quarter. It's way cheaper than Starbucks, right? Then when it fails you can buy a new coffee maker rather than screw around with repairs, which if you don't really know what you're doing, will waste your time and money (for parts and sometimes special screwdriver bits) and may even result in an unsafe repair. Thermal fuses and switches are used to save lives and keep Mr Coffee from being sued.
No special tools needed for this simple repair! And you avoid contributing to your local landfill.
Engine compartment fuse cover only shows numbers.
Also, before taking it apart, just try cleaning the buildup first by running a full pot of white vinegar through it to dissolve the sediment. After that, run a full pot of plain water, then you're usually good to go back to brewing coffee in a clean pot the easy way.
Thank you!
I will des thus in line, aß it just stoppen with tue waterflow
Thank you so much!
Too bad the sound sucks
Mine triggers the circuit breaker without destroying ceramic thingies. When I test for contuinity on the 2 poles of the plug of the power chord itself, I dont hear anything even if the start button is ON. All otherr contuniuty tests are ok. Is it the power chord?
THANK YOU! I have a Cuisinart - CPO-850 - it stopped brewing this morning. I took it apart, looked in the tube - there was a COFFEE BEAN stuck in it. I remembered opening a bag of coffee a last week and beans went flying everywhere - I guess I had the water fill side open at the time. Ugh!
I have watched tons of videos like this and none shows how to take te clip which is deep into the cifee maker and neitber shows how A PAIN IN THE NECK is to put it back!!!
Tried to fix mine had some stupid security screws on bottom so took it out side threw it against tree 5 times and just bought a new one. Pos black & decker brand don't ever buy one.
Had a couple dates with a ladyfriend that did the same thing
How did you get the tubes unglued from the heating pad? Mine don't seem to want to come off.
Brilliant! Thanks so much. You are helping save the planet! I was just about to trash my clogged coffee maker and buy another. : )
My coffee maker was letting a bit of water through, and then stopped. Took it apart and no shorts or blockages, only that ball valve in the way. Took it apart, cleaned although pretty much clean already, and voila works.
Thank you for this video! Very easy to follow. My husband fixed our Flexbrew with this technique and it works like a charm again!
This was a waste of time
It work when I put vinegar in it but not when I make coffee
Always remember to repent of your sins (sin is transgression of YAHUAH’S LAW: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, & Deuteronomy) And Have Belief On YAHUSHA HAMASHYACH. HE Died and Rose three days later so that you can be forgiven of your sins! HE Loves you! Come to HIM!🙂🙂
What fuse controls the windshield wipers
The bigger problem with these coffee makers is the calcium build up in the aluminum heating tube. The water deposits become like concrete. Vinegar, CLR, Lime Away etc. don't even remove them.
It worked like a charm. Thank you for the video!
Ball valve!!!! Remarkable....Thanks!!!
I have delonghi bco 420.. Filter coffee part not working.. Not dripping after it heats up
Yes thank you
