LookAtMeLearn is where I aim to make Afrikaans easy and memorable (maybe even fun) so that you can do well in your tests and exams and ace your first additional language requirement.
Having been through it all to get my Matric, I think it's a subject that you can do really well in and I want to help you do well.
I stopped making these videos when I stopped interacting with Afrikaans regularly.
I am aware that there are a myriad of errors - many helpful commenters have pointed them out - and that the largest of all is my poor pronunciation. I made the videos to help second language Afrikaans learners find a starting place to help build tools to learn foundational grammar rules that will always be relevant. I don't claim to be an expert and encourage everyone to make use of a variety of sources - first and foremost, first language Afrikaans speakers.
During the South African lockdown - there are many other online resources that I would encourage you to go and look for. Good luck.

Afrikaans - Verkleining - Diminutive - Small Nouns
In Afrikaans, "little car" is one word - "karretjie". How do we change the full sized version of a noun to its smaller, cuter version? This video discusses all the rules applying to Verkleinwoorde (diminutives) in each of the groups and aims to help you get the groups clear in your mind.
We discuss the Afrikaans diminutive (verkleining) suffixes: -ie, -jie, -kie, -pie, -tjie, -'tjie, -etjie. We also discuss how to recognise when you are being asked to use Verkleiningsvorm (diminutive form). Verkleinwoorde (diminutives) are a special term of endearment in Afrikaans and can help convey familiarity.
If this video helped you, please "like" it, and if you think I could help you in the future, please subscribe.
Feel free to make suggestions for the videos that you'd like to see me do next on almost any topic in the South African education system.
