Gloriously good performance Caroline (and I'm saying that as someone who can also play this piece from memory at tempo). I'm excited by how good a musician you are 😃! Every time I hear you play I smile! I think, "Yep - she nailed it and nailed it well! 😃". BTW, I hope that you (and me) help start a trend in organists playing from memory - I think it really helps with the organ being a truly musical, musical instrument. In particular, no time irregularities (due to reading the score and even page turns) and taking the listener on a journey as you yourself go on a journey as you play it (you're not just fetching handfuls of notes off the page and playing them). Thank you! I think you're great! 🙂

Why do certain notes have a "waver" almost like a (ahem) tape player with low batteries or a wavy record quality?

I listened to the symphony before listening to this and Wow just Wow! 🤯 As a musician and lover of deep powerful organs, this is by far the most powerful performance I have ever heard! And I have listened to a lot of music over the years. ❤️

Very much enjoyed the fluidity with which you played. This piece sometimes sounds less dialogue and more all-out war. You brought out an interplay of voices inherent, I think, in the Dialogue that is complementary and collaborative rather than competitive, even combative. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your performance on UA-cam. Percy Whitlock was quite an obscure character and something of an English eccentric - he was a fanatical train enthusiast - but had an extraordinary and powerful expressive force in his gift as a composer. While there is a sadness in Folk Tune, there is an expressive beauty and almost consoling nature about it I cannot explain. A beautiful performance Caroline and registration.

My compliment ! Its one of the best interpretations I ever heard, you play very well and with your heart and soul. I love all the works and compositions from BACH, who always looked for the honour of god. There is so much depth inside and you feel the truth of the gospel of christ, especially in his cantatas he wrote. "Every praise to our god !"

Jonathan Scott's organ arrangement of this brilliant suite is the best there is. Well done!
