Fan made video. Shot entirely on iPhone 4S. If you've never ridden the Giant (Big) Dipper, here's your chance, actually twice, day and night. My art & clips shot in Santa Cruz, CA on 8/27/11 set to Cracker's sublime live version of "Big Dipper" from "Live At The Crossroads/Rockpalast Festival" - C4L, Riz...

Love it... Davey is a great bass player, fun bass lines and fills. Great album, thank you for posting.
Introduce to the Rock'Roll hall of fame this outstanding band, assholes......

Who did this? Pretty cool
@Steve Rizarri Man, your video rocks. Perfect combination.
I'm a Santa Cruz resident. Came here from a link in an issue of the local newsletter "Santa Mierda!", in the section covering what's still great about Santa Cruz. You've captured the vibe very well. I haven't been to the Boardwalk in years. (That's what happens when you live here for a while.) Now I'm going to ride the Dipper again this weekend. It's a valuable and unique piece of America's past, and an icon that speaks to anyone on either side of America's cultural divide today. Doesn't matter if I'm seated next to anyone who doesn't share my worldview. When we ride the Big Dipper together, we are united. I don't know if the Big Dipper has been designated as a historic monument yet. It should be.
Those latenite big dipper talks ❤❤❤
No way this mfs last name is Rizzari 😭😭
I can assure you it is! Lol
Just what a great song in its entirety and great song writing as always from Cracker. And good live version! It brought me back so many years instantly - I was surprised how many lyrics I knew.
Music Farm. Way back when. Still one of the best song's I can remember from this group.
An amazing song and cool video. I had always thought this was about a imagined relationship of even going thru the turnstile to getting married "where thousands fled before their turn came" and and we could wait awhile or play it real cool. life that bitter sweet ride, so good, lets do it again
My first roller coaster when i was 12. ❤
Roller coaster 🎢🛼 awesome 😂😂
Low and Get Off This were really good songs, but I prefer the deeper cuts from Cracker, like Sweet Potato, Movie Star, and Eurotrash Girl, to name a few.
Bought it when it came out. Best song them boys did. Love the video!
Look how they made Wednesday cut the rug. Lurch looks like he should be in a mosh pit somewhere. 😂
Absolutely love this 11 years later
Damn this is good. I went to New York City to see Cracker. I got madly inebriated I screamed Sweet Potato throughout the whole show. They never played it, but I read a review of the show that said it would have been great if some asshole wasn't shouting "Sweet Potato" all night.
Living your best life! 🫡😂
Love Santa Cruz. Love the beach. Love the Boardwalk.
Bob eat your heart out
'member when the music video used to be the thing? this is one of the best of them all.
Johnny Hickman licks just hit a little different, don't they, Lurch?
Still one of my favorite videos to this great music. Thanks, Steve!
I made a point of riding it. Sometimes multiple times a day. A hot chick I rode it with felt it in her pussy. Now thats fun
inspired... genius video.
Luv this shit.....
Gitt it ... Lurch
Everytime I'm in Santa Cruz I hear this song, and try and ride the Dipper! Bless this song so hard!
I was thinking Santa Cruz on this big time, every time I was there I always made it to the boardwalk - Santa Cruz was fun, I miss it.
Just what I needed!
Outstanding. Thank you Steve!
Talk about a delayed reaction after he delivers a front kick😮
One of the best songs I've ever heard
Wicked hot performance! Mashup between Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven members.
You filmed this twenty one years after I was a ride operator on the Giant Dipper. It was such a joyful and carefree time in my life that has long since passed into hazy memories. It's perfectly painful to watch this and think back to those halcyon days.
I feel ya. Spent most of my summers in Santa Cruz (grew up in, yes, San Jose). The only thing missing here is scenes of the old pre-quake Mall, which are nearly impossible to find now...
Don't be sad because it's gone Smile because it happened
I like the energy of this song. Feel good vibes. Love you Crackers!
They are the shit
Thats badass..hella cute🤘😆
Life is a Roller Coaster! Thanks David & Riz
Ten years late, but this is great.
Absolutely stunning! Brings new meaning of the song for me, listening while watching this beautifully choreographed video. Thanks for this wonderful pairing!!
David and Johnny are such gifted musicians and artist. I melt when I hear them play. In my book equal to the finest duo’s of all time. Lennon McCartney Jagger Richards Delaney Bonnie Rich and Chris Robinson Thank you boys.
My. Very. Favorite. Cracker. Song. Every note and every word in this song is perfectly placed. This song always gets cranked up to 11 in my house or car.
fuck can i press the like button twice??
Saw them in Chicago ages ago. The band beat up the bouncers!
Camper Van Beetoven!!!!!!!!!
The real stuff , David Lowery!!!
F yeah!!!!!
Just like Uncle Neil
It takes a mighty awesome song to get Lurch to pull those moves!
