Bernard Martin lives near Ellon, Aberdeenshire and is a Director of Film-Ocean Ltd and Project Media Ltd. With almost 40 years’ experience in film and photography and a passion for natural history, Bernard has dedicated the past 7 years to To The Journey’s End, determined to tell the story of the Atlantic salmon to highlight its struggle in Scotland and the current strain on the survival of the species.
Through the making of To The Journey's End, Bernard has become a director of The River Don Trust an is a trustee of The Friends of Macduff Marine Aquarium.

Lesser Octopus Released Back to the Wild in the Moray Firth, Scotland

The lesser octopus (Eledone cirrhosa) is native to the Scottish coastline. It has an estimated lifespan of around 18 months. This individual had been donated to Macduff Marine Aquarium by a local creel fisherman and had been in the aquarium for 6 months. She was released back into the Moray Firth in July 2016 with the hope that she will find a mate and complete her life cycle.
