😂 I think the saddest part of the extremeist-environmentalist-attitudes I have been witnessing is that the Big Methane & Big Oil Monopolies just laugh and laugh... at how ridiculously easy it is to get the Extreme-Environmental-Advocates to actually do the job of maintaining the Status Quo for them... By holding Recycling-Development Back and Maintaining the Crisis as-is; simply by preaching Polymers are Evil... and Recyclers are Thieves. The oligarchs win even more as the young PhDs now take the place of the "crying Indian" from their advertisements in the 1970s-1980s... This new media "Influencer-Model" actually makes certain that the transitional-step of actual "clean-up efforts" never even get a chance to begin... Meanwhile; neo-supremists are taking up the mantras and are using it to continue to distract and divide constituents in the political arena. One of the largest single buyers of diesel might actually be the US Military... (as unverified internet claims have noted...). It won't be until the populus finally links 'existing plastics recycling' to real-life National Security... Divided and Distracted and Dependent are a dangerous combination for the US. If extreme-environmentalist researchers continue to do the job of keeping the constituency jaded and hopeless, thus ensuring the wealth continues flowing to the Big O& NG industries around the world via the Status Quo... They will be comfortably able to further increased drilling and virgin plastic production indefinitely... Great work, Dr. Singla, for actually promoting a naive single-minded solution of 'Plastics Abstinence!' Yes, "Abstinence" is probably the answer for reducing human disease as well... Less Humans... Less Humans Health impacts from pollution, as The Oligarchs & Supremacists would laughingly add to this presentation, while happily plotting behind their closed doors... all while they remain the winners who count the riches you actually continue to help make for them... Just Keep Preaching the Plastics-are-Poison Mantra... And be sure to remind folks the importance of Abstinence.... Keep influencing them to stop even trying to clean up the planet or recycle... Let's all just wait until the planet just magically cleans up itself of human beings instead... 😂😂😂. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ E. Callejas, MA, MBA, MS IDT, AC, PhD (abd). Founder of Helpertunity.org.

In a part of the USA where I once lived there are salt marshes . The program you mentioned dug trenches in the marshes, perhaps to drain them in order to reduce the number of mosquitos. Nowadays small fish swim up the trenches when the tide is high and retreat as the tide recedes. Was this intended? I don't know. It is said to be an estuary area. Considered waterfront property today, the local authorities spray it from above with pesticides to reduce the number of mosquitos. Some very wealrhy and/or famous people live nearby who, I am sure, would complain if the mosquitos became more numerous.

Give all those Drug-addicts and drug-associated criminals a piece of land to repair and you will give them a sense of purpose in life, substituting the rausch of drug abuse with something tangibly good and beneficial for the earth and these peoplel. But, who wants that in the present political "Leadership" in the States. Definitely not all those adherents to the New World Order with it's twisted rationale. The power structures are self-obsessed and consumed by Ego, focused on wealth, wealth gain, power growth and power maintenance. That is the evil of our society. One evil feeding another. Someone will have to plant a Prosopis tree in the minds of men and it won't be Trudeau or Rutte, or a Jacinder of New Zealand or the Supreme Court of the Germans which has set a presidence for SARS-CoV2 Vaccination (in all it's stupidity) or a Daniel Andrews in Australia, or any Australian Political Party for that matter, that is in power there. Three cheers for Roosevelt who laid the foundation, by accident, for the chance to save the world or at least, a chance to deal with the changes in climate and by using rationality by not starting another World War or playing into the hands of those who are not serious. Stop playing dangerous games, people. Time is running out. Conserve you money, your assets and your work-force by doing just what Roosevelt did, but not by force, coersion, or mandates. We have got hard times ahead of us, as a world, and a New World Order will not achieve results to bring about a positive difference.

First 2/3 has lots of helpful info on manufactured housing (MH) realities and potential in Tucson. I was particularly captivated by the contrast of a very few cooperatively owned, high quality and affordable MH communities, versus official (federal) subsidizing of vulture capital purchasing of MH parks, which results in raised land rents and increasingly stressed residents. Last 1/3 looks at the acceleration of deteriorating conditions of Tucson's broader housing stock, explains why and gives some pointers to making the best use of what we have.

The earth is finite. Its ability to absorb wastes and destructive effluent is finite. Its ability to provide food and energy is finite. Its ability to provide for growing numbers of people is finite. And we are fast approaching many of the earth's limits. Current economic practices which damage the environment, in both developed and underdeveloped nations, cannot be continued without the risk that vital global systems will be damaged beyond repair. Pressures resulting from unrestrained population growth put demands on the natural world that can overwhelm any efforts to achieve a sustainable future. www.ucsusa.org/resources/1992-world-scientists-warning-humanity

My apologies for a misstatement at 3:53. The anticipated effects of 2°C and 1.5°C degree temperature rise on species were incorrect. Rather than those percentages of species being pushed to extinction, the temperature rise would result in reducing their geographical range by half. The error was mine.

Wrong. It's actually great. I was impressed by this quite a bit. These are Average Joe employees singing well and doing choreographed dance at the same time. The info is all there in the lyrics and they rhyme well. Whomever came up with this idea did a fantastic job! It's good to try something novel because the traditional signs, newspaper/magazine/billboard ads, and TV/radio ads telling people all of this info clearly DO NOT WORK.
