I hope everone is ok after this concert .. I truly dont know what their physical capabilities are as an old Rock band ... Ive seen so many old Icons of Aussie rock do this same thing whereby they stand and hardly move from their podiums ... PS I suggest if one is in Sydney to check out Dee Minor and the Dischords .. Old legends who put a lot of ENRGY into their SHOWS for $40 a head occasionally at the Bridge Hotel Balmain .. (if your into 80's original rock I mean) ... James, where is the Show ?? (just voice n fingers now?)

I reckon Kasey would have been an Aussie Crawl fan, great lyrics, great music and James' unique voice. I think she would have liked that his vocals were 'different' and unique, so to speak.

4th November...day before my birthday...so I'm a Scorpio...and therefore this song and gig would have gone off for sure. Young James still sporting a mean rig I reckon for a what, 64 years live in '22. His pipes are still as good as ever too. Guy is symbolic of the Australian spirit for me and I'm a 100% pure Kiwi thoroughbred. To me he's a 'been-there-done-that-seen-that' experience dude, you know the one. Can look you straight in the eye and see right through you warts 'n all and still shake your hand and relate to you just like your best friend. I never knew his father was an English-born former Royal Marine who served as aide-de-camp to the governor of the state of Victoria, Sir Dallas Brooks. That's impressive blood stock to say the least. Little wonder James has a wise head on him. Today after my gym workout I sat outside in my car and listened to the live rendition of 'Reckless' off the Phalanx live album from Australian Crawl. During the song my eyes began welling up. See in 1990 I had my near-death motorcycle accident here in New Zealand and I was 26 years old. I lost my entire left leg amputated as high up as hip and pelvis, as well suffering several serious internal injuries. Very fortunate to survive. Doctors & surgeons believed my high fitness level saved my life [I was an amateur road cyclist, biathlete, triathlete, and marathon runner at the time] and worked at an export meat [sheep & lamb] processing plant in the smallgoods department. I was addicted to a busy lifestyle and loved riding motorcycles for leisure. Enjoyed a beer and the odd double Coruba rum and coke too. And being a Scorpio - nothing was ever done half-heartedly - it was all or nothing. And yes I could be extreme on many occasions. Even as Australian Crawl and James Reyne sings 'Reckless' make no error. So today I had a good welling up listening to 'Reckless' off the Phalanx live album from Australian Crawl 1983 - the year I turned 20. I'm 60 and the lyrics just really HIT HOME today. I can only wish that on that fateful evening in 1990 when I was obsessed with a young lady who was NEVER going to have a romantic relationship with me, and she flirted with another male in front of me that I.... 'So, throw down your guns Don't be so reckless Throw down your guns Don't be so....'
