Good start with your MK 85! It’s okay bud! 😄 we learn by doing and trying things out, seeing what works best for us. I’m also working on my MK 39 as well. Using wood filler and taking more time while giving yourself the chance to make mistakes with things like paint, you put to experience. It took me 3 tries to paint my starboost helmet (sand, prime, paint, wet sand) before I ended up with the colors I that I liked. Also, wood filler or bondo works wonders when making pieces look seamless! And with everything, patience is golden. We all love and want to see the finished product so we rush and sometimes forget to also enjoy the process of the whole journey. 😄

Make sure you turn your camera sideways so you don’t get the black lines in your videos but keep up the good job

did you print the thigh at 100% scale ?

Let the base paint dry for 24 hours then do your masking with frog tape and you wont have tape imprints on the black and the frog tape will keep the paint from bleeding through

Lifehack. To avoid paint spitting under tape, use several thinner coats instead of one biffy

My ender didnt fit whole upper part, separated to 4 parts. Got my helmet model for free, as supercitizen from printables

My helmet is taken still 1 day and 13 hours till finished
