Ballroom Dance Academy in Dallas,Texas. Developing dance skills in beginner and advance dancers. Working with adults and teen competitors, social dancers and wedding couples.
We specialize in high impact dance training for all ages. We concentrate on technical fundamentals and performance skills of dancing. Our students learn to master the skills of movement with a partner to all types of music genres. We focus on developing musicality, leading and following skills, as well as the essential body mechanics needed for dancing. Our staff makes sure that the students have the confidence to dance with any partner in any setting.
Students who are committed to the competition circuit go through physical endurance and mental training. At Image Ballroom Dance Academy, we are known for our discipline, intensity, strategy and mentoring. We push the students beyond their limitations because our job is to see beyond what is possible.

Xaxado Dança originária do alto sertão pernambucano, conhecida em todo o agreste nordestino desde 1922, foi divulgada no interior pelo cangaceiro Lampião e os cabras de seu grupo. É dançada em círculo, em fila indiana, marcando os compassos com pancadas da foice do fuzil no chão. Utiliza passos sem volteios, dentre os quais se destaca o corta-jaca, como é chamado o movimento em que o pé direito cruza o esquerdo num rápido e deslizante sapateado. O xaxado não se tornou uma dança de salão, pois, divulgada por cangaceiros, não permitia a atuação feminina. Luíz Gonzaga, cantor e instrumentista nordestino, um dos maiores pesquisadores e divulgadores do xaxado, dizia ser o rifle a dama da dança. Atualmente, ele se transformou em baião, um dos ritmos do forró, ganhando os salões de festa e permitindo a participação de mulheres. Chapéus, alpercatas, embornais, rifles e vestimentas características dos cangaceiros compõem a indumentária da dança, lembrando as roupas usadas na época do cangaço. Inicialmente, a melodia vinha do som dos bacamartes, batendo no chão, e do chiado das alpercatas, que eram usadas também como instrumentos de percussão. Depois, o baião ficou sendo o ritmo oficial do xaxado, nome que é uma onomatopeia do chiado de sandálias arrastadas no chão - xá-xá-xá. Fonte: CÔRTES, Gustavo Pereira.
