That’s pure bromine, not the same kind used in pools. Have you ever been to a water park? If yes, Notice the smell of the water is unique? That’s because of bromine. It’s more expensive but works better for water attractions like log rides and such.

@@AP72218 I said BROMATE! because thats the one that has been linked to cancers. And the US use it in foods, mainly baked goods. BVOs in drinks are not bromate or Bromine. And Bromine doesnt cause cancer, or at least hasnt been listed as a cancer causing agent, the same as clorine, which is in your water! BVOs became illegal to use in foods in the US as of 2nd August this year.

Because there is no info, just seudo nosense. They are both halogens. They are suited for spas, as well as for swimming pools. They have almost the same effectiveness in killing hot tub pathogens. Both chlorine and bromine can lead to similar health issues when used in excess. Move along

I'm a pool tech as well, all I know about DE is the powder is IMMEDIATE lung cancer, but then again the chlorine fluid and pucks are filtered by asbestos and muriatic, sulfuric, chlorine gas, etc. all I can say about filters is unicell ftw and frick Hayward.
