The Union Difference Helps Drivers Thrive
Переглядів 9283 роки тому
For over one hundred years, the Teamsters Union has brought drivers together to demand dignity at work. Our union contracts have guaranteed safety on the job and a fair share of profits. But now, more than ever, non-union drivers are getting squeezed by huge corporations. Drivers need unions. Organize one with us today.

37:26 is just a glimpse into the importance of unions in the recent decades vs. the corporate Megalomaniacs & their puppeteering (think King Magnifico from Wish)
Please explain why this video is monitized?
Might be because you can’t take on a multimillion dollar corporation with pocket change, but that’s just a guess
What is Right to work. I didn't hear it explained. Based on your presentation I guess you voted for Trump to bring manufacturing back.
Very informative thank you...fantastic explanation........I'm hopeful most ppl who view this video gets the justice of your explanation and experience.
This was so much fun 🤩. We definitely got to do it again!
Great vid!
Thank You Teamsters for all you guys do for us and we appreciate all the hard work, may God bless you all.
This is my moms account
By the way I'm his son
I have a question. I live in a right to work state. Some of the people in the local mine want union and others don't. So they voted and it was like 51% no and 49% yes. Therefore, they did not bring in a union. If it's right to work, I don't care if only 25% want a Union, doesn't that percentage have a right to a union.
Think it has to be a majority
Haha. They should be able too. The best treatment I have had is from the employer to employee relationship. The employee to union relationship is necessarily one of victimhood and blaming.
@@bladeprime8426 yeah, "the company will take care of me"...said no one ever.
Such an awesome day we love the waterpark!!!
Man I was hoping you would explain right to work.
Yeah, my father in law lost his union pention when his union went on an extended strike, it lasted for two years, he was forced to find temporary work elsewhere in order to pay his mortgage, the union chose to strip him of his pention after working diligently for over 30 years in the same room. They showed no pity for him, and treat him as a traitor. That's how a union treats it's members. Force them to strike, then strip them of all benifits if they don't let their homes go.
Nonsense. The Union didn't take his pension, his employer did.
@@matsudakodo shouldn't his Union have protected him from his employer raking the pension?
Yeah there is no love or caring coming from a union. This video is monitized. The people who claim to be logical toss all logic in the rubbish bin when it comes to defending their union.
Teamsters takes members money and gives it to the Democratic party. And anyone is supposed to believe anything they say?
I imagine they would give it to anyone who fought for their interests or the interests of the working man. Historically that is the Democratic party.
You say that to say what?
Yeah maybe $20 a month
Is there any footage or audio of Martin Luther King's quote on right-to-work?
No. It's just another appro to high jack black Americans fight. The unions have ALWAYS froze out blacks. Today they use "people of color" which translate to "other than black" to push a narrative. I have a few union family members from the old UAW and they would tell you how racist the organization was, and helped influenced me to become a business owner.
Awesome job!!!
Wtf this is straight up propaganda.
lmfao yeah this dude kind of made it sketchy. That chuckle and and that gif that just fuckn moves around and you can't even see what its showing. My guess is they just rushed it and didn't even bother to do another take. Im an average shmuck that just started getting into this kind of shit, im 27 and in the UAW. We bust our ass 7 days a week (3rd shifters never get a day off but boy we get paid) My only issue with dues is going for a candidate I don't know or care about. Other than that it keeps us from being amazon. I was in a weak union before and I know what happens when companies get to do what ever they want with their workers. Maybe other unions in different work sectors need to get their ass in gear but there are some out there that really help people out.
I feel dirty after watching.
Awesome!! Good job #teamsters
This is important information. PAY ATTENTION

Make America Great Again and bring back our Unions. Educate and organize! Good job, thanks for posting.
Pay attention to what's going on here. You've heard it all your life. The only power you realistically have is unity or power in numbers!!!! Power to the people or actual workers.
Public sector is payed for by the private sector...
Private sector unions haven't been touched only public sector because of conflicts if interest. And not enough money to pay for the pension programs.
Right to work means they have right to make it all up as they go. When will I have the pleasure of making up life's rules as come???????? Abolish that self centered bull shit already.....
Curious, 6 minutes in you say that wages are 22% less. Where is the data to support this? I'm not saying there isn't a difference, it just seems a large difference. How are you defining it? Same job or total state averages?
There is none. Most union jobs pay way more then the work is worth. Like for instance, you can make 65$ an hour working at GM and all you do is put three screws in to three holes and the next guy fastens them at the next station. Thats why a pickup truck that coust $5k to build from bumper to bumper cost 65-75k. They are having to make up the cost. They also don't tell you that the cost of living is generally cheaper in a right to work state. Like where i live you can rent a nice house in a decent neighborhood for around $650 a month, but in most union states a ok house in a questionable neighborhood might rin 1200 to 1800 with nicer apartments hitting the 2500 to 3000 a month range. The same usually goes for groceries and other goods as well. Like where i live milk usually hovers around $2.80 a gallon while in places like Chicago or NY ive seen a gallon of milk go as high as $4.30 a gallon. You also tend to have higher taxes. So basically to a teamster making $60 an hour $18 an hour may not sound like much but down here thats damn good money.
@@bradleyselk9642 ask yourself where else that money is going. Workers deserve the lion's share of their production, not the boss. It just drains money from the economy, where workers would otherwise spend it.
@@bradleyselk9642 also, our perception of fair earnings has been badly skewed since the 1980's when real earnings began their long decline.
good job!!! Teamster Local 1932
Arizona is a great example of this right-to-work crock!! When Walmart is a state's largest employer then something is just not right!!
William Carey Arkansas
yeah man I grew up in Arizona and worked in the restaurant industry- we made $2 an hour before tips. They basically took our tips.
💯💯👌🏾
At least this channel has the courage to allow comments. The Right to Work channel does not.
Theres like thirteen videos that show right up on the search that have comments enabled and most of the teamsters are getting their asses handed to them. No one should have to pay to work. If someone doesn't want to be a part of a union that should be their choice. This is America not Soviet Russia.
@@bradleyselk9642 yeah that's why wages are low because of people that have been brainwashed and down down about unions like yourself and people like you blame others for you you're ignorance the lowest people like you blame people that make less than you the undocumented people they ain't got nothing to do with the problems we have here but since you have to point a finger at somebody instead of pointing at yourself and the politicians that are anti-union you want to point the finger at the people that make less than you and they cannot get a decent job because they don't have a legal documents so keep living in your little bubble buddy.
@@bradleyselk9642 you have the right to work somewhere else...that doesn't have a union. But don't walk into a union shop, take the enhanced wages, benefits, and working conditions, and rely on your coworkers to pay for it all.
@@bradleyselk9642oh no a 300 dollar fee out of my 85k salary so I can prevent the company from wage gouging, what a fucking tragedy
Amazing!
Nice!
