A short video showing the area between Ventnor and a Steephill Cove on the Isle of Wight. Luckily at the moment, this particular area shows no signs of any landslips, which is good news considering it’s such a beautiful part of the Island. In the video you can see the fantastically quant little cottages and buildings in Steephill Cove, as well as the The Spyglass Inn, Ventnor Seafront, Ventnor ...

Aerial Views of the Landslip of 2023 at Bonchurch on the Isle of Wight. (Filmed in Feb 2024)
Переглядів 5 тис.8 місяців тому
On the 10th December 2023 a major landslip occurred at Bonchurch on the Isle of Wight. This caused major damage to the area and resulted in the nearby road being closed, and in fact it's still closed up until now (March 2024). Leeson Road is closed at its junction with Bonchurch Shute, affecting travel between Ventnor and Shanklin, and long diversions are in place. The area used to be a really ...

Aerial Views of Shanklin to Luccombe Cliffs, Isle of Wight

With all the cliff erosion and rock falls that we’ve had on the Isle of Wight recently, I thought that I would do more videos of when I’m out and about, just so there’s a nice record of how things are looking currently. If you are planning on visiting this area, you basically just walk right along to the West end of Shanklin Beach and keep walking. It is VERY IMPORTANT though that you time it c...

Various cracks and small rock falls have recently been seen near the Rylstone Gardens area and Shanklin Chine on the Isle of Wight, so I thought I would get some photos and video of the area to see what may change in the future. Aerial Shots of Fog Rolling Across the South West of The Isle of Wight
Incredible footage, undoubtedly done by someone who loves ships. Many thanks.
Galleon's are only the most beautiful ships ever built… I recently purchased a handmade wooden model of the Vasa (Wasa) and it's the highlight of my home… Thank you for sharing the video it was wonderful. Those lucky people whom get to board and sale such an amazing work of art. Thanks again I appreciate you
What a fantastic view of Andalucia we were watching her arriving past Colwell cam and departing past Ryde cam well done Wight Media 👍
Wow🎉
Is the best
Nice. I wonder if walking you could get cut off at high tide. Thanks
Blimey, that's a lot of tents to fold away. Great video
why are there pink tents. are they for women only. that would be very wise though and well deserved for safety
Loved it, and the gorgeous music, ????
Superb shots of the Atlantic replica, thanks
You're becoming a dab hand at AI song writing😊..very evocative
I love the festival im there rn its the best holiday ever!!!
What in the AI is that "song"?
Hoofing Ready 🏴
You just have to look on KINGS HARBOUR MASTER PORTSMOUTH’s web pages for LNTM 66/24…. It references the “Richard Millie Cup”. I’m reassured to know that my local harbourmaster has absolutely no idea what, how or whom is Richard Millie… and his eyewateringly expensive watches. Let me break out my sailing Casio - bulletproof 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
What song is this? ♥️
It’s just something that I made using AI for a bit of background music.
@@WightMediaIOW it’s great!
Love the video and the music🤩
Wonderful ! Thank you very much❤❤❤
I’m sorry Cunard….and I’m a Southampton lad…..brought up on the original Queen Mary and Elizabeth….looking out over the docks from my bedroom window and seeing all the classic liners……this ship lacks beauty. Seen in silhouette on the horizon it looks like a container ship. The inside, however, is quite stunning. Surely some designer can bring back the style and grace of the ‘old ladies’. Ps sorry for the rant!
I thought it looked classic. Long pointed bow, sleek. What I find weird looking are some of the other new ships like Celebrity for eg. Those inverted bows that point downward into the water just, they don’t look right. All in the eye of the beholder I suppose.
Wow lovely footage, I'm guessing there were lots of drones there.
Why would it be named after Dutch Royalty & be based in UK?
Beautiful filming. Thank you.
Lovely comments Kai. It just goes to show how the years quickly pass. I was thinking something similar to myself as I witnessed her arrival into her home port of Southampton. Looking forward to witnessing her departure on Friday evening as the QUEEN ANNE leaves on her maiden voyage. I originally had concerns regarding the size of the funnel as well as the extra full deck height of her black hull and the Cunard logo but having seen it in the flesh as it we're I'm very impressed. The Cunard logo on her forward part of her hull was going to be white but I'm pleased that it remained the iconic Cunard red. The retouched Cunard crest looks beautifull as well.
It feels surreal. After 7 years since I first saw this ship announced in my high school cafeteria (remember it like it was yesterday), she's finally home and ready to grace the seas of the world in the way only Cunard can. Welcome at last, Queen Anne. Lovely footage too. 👍
Great drone footage and amazing views. 👍👍👍Thanks for sharing. Subbed and Liked. 👍👍👍
Is that song really just AI, fuck me thats depressing its an amazing track but AI is going to be the death of creativity.
Music ruins it. Rather hear the waves crashing and the wind howling
Actually, the music goes well with the video.
The sound must have been incredibly frightening when all that land collapsed. So sorry for those who have lost their homes.
I'm coming over in a few weeks.. I will bring a spade.
That pier is the saddest thing about this. It used to be derelict but had lovely little just at the front that sold drinks and snacks. Some rich idiot bought it, built the monstrous cafe, made it posh and raised priced. Unsurprisingly it’s closed and now empty. So sad. Love this part of the isle of sight and the walk along the front. Rich people spoiling everyone’s enjoyment 🤷♂️🥺😔
Devils Chimney is still there just slightly filled in so you can no longer walk through it.
Thanks for this. Coming to the Island soon and this was one of our favourite spots to explore. Unbelievable devastation. No more visits to the Tea Rooms at the top. Genuinely saddened especially for the locals affected. Great footage. Thanks again.
Thank you for showing us how near to falling the little summer house is on Luccombe 😱 The (isle of wight ) Shanklin cam use to be situated on top of the summer house but now as been removed before it collapses into the sea 😭
Lovely video 📹 great footage 👌 👍
Very useful and informative, thanks for posting. For a moment there reading your description I did wonder why so many council staff were hanging around in Iceland, perhaps this would explain why the paths weren't being cleared?! Then I read on. I can imagine Island Roads staff shovelling hot baked beans and sausage rolls, red hot lava not so much though!
Fantastic footage. Wow. 😮 it really is falling to the sea. Fantastic footage

It's all gonna crumble! Sorry ❤ UK. (nice music)
quite impressive and quite lovely. Nice tranquil shots. UK.
These are only aerial views and this will not stop me from walking thou the landslip in Bonchurch thou to Ventnor or Shanklin as I no every part around this beautiful place as I've walked thou here so many times in the 70's to the present day.
Great one. Thanks gor the share ❤
Nice flying 👍 liked and subscribed 😃
This is great, thanks for posting. The Chimney survived relatively intact although dropped thirty feet or so. The Wishing Seat also is still in place as is the second chimney nearby. These were in an unaffected area but obviously sealed-off to the public for safety. ua-cam.com/video/K7NiFnFVkfU/v-deo.html
Well done!
Nice video to see some of the latest cliff falls along here, my father's memorial bench is the one next to the Appley 74 steps that have been closed off for some time now even after a repair attempt ! We're wondering how much longer it will be there for.
Beautifully done. Finally a videographer on the iow with an artist's eye. Keep it up!
Nice video mate, Where did you TAOL? I'll probably go to the beach on low tide to have a look next good day we get!
