Thank you so much for this video! I know it was recorded 4 years ago, but my daughter will be living in a Single in Dauten Hall and this really helps.

You also have to see one of the largest urban parks, it’s larger than Central Park. It’s right next to Washington University. Look at St. Louis Forest Park ua-cam.com/video/XiZ_gV89bfM/v-deo.html
do you still go to school on the weekends?
I do not
I'm obsessed with WashU and just applied ED II. So excited to see if I get admitted! Either way this video is super awesome because I was supposed to attend one of WashU's summer programs but it got cancelled due to the pandemic, and it is nice to see what the university looks like.
Glad the video helped. Good luck!!
What room option is that?
Typically this is sophomore housing. But it is modern suite style housing
Hi .. can you make a video about how to enter Washu for foreign students..
I saw you in a pre-med panel from WASHU! So glad you have a UA-cam channel!!
hi!
omg i lived in dauten this year and remember watching this before i had moved in and not knowing what building you were in, ahhh that's so funny
Lmao
I been looking at washU for a minute and this is ridiculous 😂, whyy are the dorms there so nice
Make more videos I love your content💖
What college writing did you take?
My first year we didn’t have all the college writing options that u all have now. But I did hear that the dreams course was a good option for people who don’t like writing too much. But if u do enjoy writing I would suggest just picking one of the classes that sounds the most interesting to u and I’m sure you will be fine :)
Desirae Bartos thanks for the reply! I think I’m signing up for power and commodities so I hope that one’s good lmao. I love your channel!!
I love the music!
Do a campus tour once you go back!
how did you and your suite mates determine who got the singles and doubles?
The rooms are pre-assigned. But you can preference if you want a double or single when you are choosing housing.
@@desiraebartos2700 Do all the modern singles have the bed and desk so close together? (I'm claustrophobic.)
This is my dream school!!
I think I saw you on the day in the life webinar for admitted students.
Yup that was me! Congrats on ur acceptance!!!
Are you there?
I just got accepted! Thanks for the videos!
congrats!!!
It’s been a year. How's the experience?
can you please tell me about the cost of ms in computer science with and without financial aid

Hi there 🍃
I’m actually from Florida and I plan on transferring to WashU and I’m pretty excited ❤️
That’s exciting, Congrats!
Hi. Idk much but does the uni offer mbbs or bds?
Can u do a video about pre med at Wash U?
Can't wait for the full dorm tour!!
Another video!!!
Good luck girl!! ☺️
How far are the dorms from each other, academic buildings, and dining halls? Great video!!
Thank you! All of the freshman dorms are in one place called the south 40. On the south 40 there’s a dining hall that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. From the 40 it’s about a 5-8min walk to most academic buildings including the main library. So everything is reasonably close.
Desirae Bartos thanks! I really like how the dorms are so close and how accessible everything seems :)
Desirae Bartos also, are all the dorms suite style or are there more traditional dorms with hallways that lead directly into your room and floor-shared bathrooms?
No problem! There are non suite style dorms with communal bathrooms and ones with bathrooms shared by two double rooms.
Desirae Bartos thanks! You’re the best!
how hard is it to get a traditional suite? Also, if you are applying early decision, do you get first choice on dorm style if you get in
Promethium61 01 Getting a traditional suite is usually easier than getting a modern because most people prefer the modern styles. Applying ED sadly doesn’t get you first choice in room selection.
@@MidniteStarRider thank you so much for the reply! go bears!
Yes it can be easier to get a traditional suite. However, ed does not get preference/ first choice.
Hi! Thank you so much for the video. I have a question that I guess is more geared toward your friend in Eliot, but if you can answer, that would be great! I’m going to be in Eliot next year, just down the hall from the dorm you showed. Do you know about how big the furniture is in the dorms (like the ones that are provided)?
Hi! Congrats on washu! I don’t know the dimensions of the furniture in the dorms, however, if you call washu I’m sure they can transfer you to someone who can answer that question.
Nice video, would you say it is hard to earn an A in the premed courses?
Thanks! The premed courses during freshman year are very difficult and require many hours of studying. I would not say an A is unattainable, but you will have to put in the work to get it. Also, not getting an A is not the end of the world as long as you are getting the most out of every class.
hi! the tour guide talked a lot about how most people did multiple majors and stuff. would i be out of place if i only did one math related major and a pre med track?? cool video btw!
Hi and thanks!! I don’t think you would be out of place at all. Ultimately everyone at washu is on their own track as far as classes, majors and minors so I think as long as you are happy with the decision to only have one major you will be fine!
I love this video sm and I love your personality! Subbed <3 .. I’m going to apply ED to WashU and I’m stressing about my app ahh
Thank you so much! Don’t stress, just make sure that your personality and passion for your future goals comes out in ur app!!
@@desiraebartos2700 good advice, thank you ! :)
Can i apply to WashU in my senior year of high school? I am unable to find this on internet please help.
Most students apply to washu during their senior year of high school unless they are taking a gap year between high school and college or transferring from a different college. So yes!
wow this is cool! BTW I am going to washu this fall!
Congrats!!
Yesss Desi the utuber!
How likely is it for an incoming freshman to get a single?
Umm, I don’t know the exact numbers or anything. But everyone that I know who put singles as their first few choices got one. There are a few different dorms that have singles. So I am sure your chances would be pretty high.
I subscribed!😊
Thank you for posting this video, it’s so helpful! I just got accepted to Washu and not completely sure if I’m gonna attend, but I’m interested in majoring in global health too. Would you say that the global health classes are more science and epidemiology based, or more focused on health policy and sociology? Also, is there a strong black presence on campus, and specifically an office or any type of space for black students?
Congrats on getting in!! The intro global health class is definitely more focused on health policy and sociology, but I am not too sure about the upper level global health courses. However, you can definitely find classes geared towards both here. As far as black presence, there are many clubs that are for black students that you can get involved in. There are also offices that are centered around diversity. It's definitely a community that you have to seek out, but we are here and thriving!!!
@@desiraebartos2700 thank you for replying :) I actually just found out that I got early admittance to the Medicine and Society program! It sounds super interesting and aligns with exactly what I want to do, but I'm just wondering what you know about the program, or if you've heard anything about it.
@@kendalld3872 congrats!! I have not heard much about that program. All that I know about it is that there are a few required courses that you will have to take in your first year. I am also pretty sure that you will also be working with Dr. Stoner, who is an amazing medical anthropologist and teaches some of the most interesting anthro courses here. I think it is an amazing opportunity that is definitely worth considering.
@@kendalld3872 Hi!!! This is super late haha but I also got early admitted to the MedSoc program! Super weird that I found this on youtube but also pretty cool! I would love to talk if you want to :)
Hi! I'm going to washu in the fall, but i was offered fsap for this summer and i was wondering which courses you took during fsap? I remember you mentioned it in another video on your channel. Also, i was wondering if those course helped in gen chem, gen bio, and first year physics? I'm still deciding between chem and physics for my 3rd course of fsap, so your insight would be helpful!
omg congrats, ur gonna love fsap, it was such a great experience!!!! I took chemistry and quantitative reasoning. I would definitely say that taking chem this summer helped tremendously with gen chem in the fall. All of my friends would say the same. It really helped me to figure out what my best study strategies were and gave me a good idea of the rigor of the course in the fall. I can not speak for physics because I did not take it over the summer or this year, but I am sure it will be helpful too. But unless you are planning to take physics in your first year, I would definitely go for the chem option.
@@desiraebartos2700 thanks for the response! on the fsap website, it recommends taking physics course for gen chem for some reason? Also, I've been told that the fsap class covers more material of gen chem 2 than gen chem 1, is that true? Also, what do the 7 credits we earn in fsap count towards? im a chemical engineering major btw, thanks!
@@hubbiemid6209 umm there are some basic physics concepts in the first semester of gen chem like force and things like that. I think it would be helpful to have taken physics in high school before chem, but I know people who were fine without having taken it in high school. Last summer's fsap definitely covered more of first semester gen chem in my opinion. The first month or two of lectures were concepts directly from fsap. Maybe this was different in other years, but for me it definitely helped more during first semester. The 7 credits are counted toward your total college credits, so it puts you ahead of everyone else. If there is a semester that maybe you don't want to take a whole bunch of credits, you will always have the 7 credits to fall back on. So mainly it gives you some wiggle room when picking your course load, which is extremely helpful.
Omg I lived in that exact Eliot A suite last year! I was in the next room over but it’s so cool seeing how you made it your own! The room is set up almost exactly the same as my suite mate Katie had it last year. We had some fun nights and many memories made in that suite so I hope it is just as fun for you!! Eliot 0200 will always be the best😊
