I mean, the muggles would just clean sweep em. So Avada Kervada is the death spell. But you have to say it each time and you have to be powerful enough for it to be effective. But every soldier has a gun which is basically a wand that just fires death spells way faster. Then bring in tanks and planes and it's just not even close. It'd be like trying to hit a plane with a bolt rifle to hit a plane with a spell.

The "twenty-five years in the making" comes from a game Bethesda had in development in the mid- to late-90s called The Tenth Planet. The game was cancelled because Howard decided the technology of the day couldn't deliver the vision he wanted. Starfield is the spiritual successor to that.

Todd Howard stated the reason for starfield so long on the making was technology .
