I looked at a HD8, but it's nothing compared to the HD9 as far as grinding up material like this.
We had a HD8 before we got our HD9. You are right there is no comparison.

I wish one of the tub grinder videos would she how long ot takes to grind and empty a full tub. They always keep adding an adding.
i think these relied on gravity feeding so running it to empty would be very slow and probably throw stuff out

To bad you don't have a video showing how to change out the hammer and rods. I've seen many videos for different tub grinders but not a single one for screen replacements or rod and hammer changing tho. What a bummer.
Not too hard to change. Pull top plate. Then flailing guard. Then locking plate. Turn plate to access rod’s and pull out what you need. Wish I knew this before Tearing the whole damn drum out pain in the ass that was
@@rrock2020 ya that's what I've been seeing in some detailed stuff that explains it but sure would be nice to see the process tho if someone was replacing rods and hammers. I'll most likely be doing a video myself one day once I get this thing up and running that way people have something to go off of to help them out if there getting one and need to know how it's done. Sure makes things easyer once ya see it for yourself ya know.
I wish I did make a video to share. I learned from my mistakes lol. Now replacing clutch tomorrow

Well if you do a full tare down to check everything out and clean it up to get it all ready for this spring to start grinding again you should do a video then with some details In the video but don't get too crazy but be direct tho because some people don't understand tec terms like we do ya know.

You might like to invest in a horizantal-fed drum chipper. Why, you ask? why, because that thing is sending debris all over the place. It's an occupational hazard.
What happens if a brick or stone gets into it?
It hammers the bricks and stones to bite size pieces...While sending debris everywhere much like the pieces of wood in this video.

Dam boy slow down a bit and let the material go down a bit in the tub and ya won't have a mess overhanging the grinder and might grind a little faster there bud. I understand ya got a short tub but good greaf ya don't need to over due it.
