Thanks for reviewing scents that arent that hyped. Sometimes it feels like many of my fav YT'ers are reading from the same script.

I got a discovery set from Gallivant last year and fell in love with Tokyo, Gdańsk, and Istanbul. I think the camphorous smell of the eucalyptus in the dry down turned me off from Los Angeles. But the opening was great with that juicy pineapple.

I tried most of the Vertus collection at ScentXplore NYC in December and Anka was the stand out for me. It didn't come off to me as particularly masc leaning but I'm also a woman who enjoys slightly leaning masc scents. It'll be my first purchase from the house, for sure. I'd say for men, Chaos was incredible. Please try that one and report back! It's so good! Regarding Precious Liquid, I tested that collection at ScentXplore Nashville last year and fell in love with Precious Oud. My God, its amazing. I like my ouds a bit on the sweeter side so for meit was the perfect balance. Bought a full bottle on the spot!

You should try Siesta from Ramon Monegal. A Lemony Iris Vetiver with sweetness from Honey. Its sooo good man especially in hot weather.

One of my Fav Blues for Winter is Davidoff Cool Water Intense, not so aquatic, but you get that shower gel, with coconut and Ambroxan Dry down good projection and Sillage and cut thru the cold one of my Favs during this time. It can come off Sun tan lotion in the heat which is why I wear it in the Cold 🤙🏾

Great video topic, and excellent options presented here (from what I’ve tried)! Completely agree with 40 Knots, and yes it is still a beast. For anyone interested in Acqua di Sale, definitely sample first! If you find it’s too overpowering, check out Giardino Benessere Salaria - nearly identical, but Salaria wears a little calmer. Giardino Benessere is a house perfumed by Paolo Terenzi, so you know the quality is still solid. Lattafa Atlas is a great cheapie in this family, but much closer to Megamare than ADS/Salaria. My girlfriend LOVES Atlas and prefers it to the others (which my wallet appreciates lol). I definitely need to check out Azrak! I’ve recently discovered a real appreciation for oud fragrances, and this one sounds incredible! A few fresh(ish) fragrances that I’d recommend checking out in the cooler weather if you haven’t: • Zoologist Squid - similar “depth of the ocean” feel to Acqua di Sale, but this one has a warmer, slightly sweet ambery backbone vs the aromatic-green vibe of ADS. Some find the inky accord off putting, but I really enjoy it! • Acqua di Parma Oud EDP (black bottle) - more of a woody-suede like oud (also has leather in the base) that is freshened up considerably from a citric/mandarin orange opening that persists a good while. The coriander in the mid adds a subtly sweet, fresh spiciness (almost peppery) nuance just behind the orange and oud/leather. Performance is great! • Lattafa Emeer - supposed to be a clone of Clive Christian Town & Country. I cannot confirm that, but this one is great in its own right. It opens with a vibrant lemon that’s more sweet than it is tart, but not cloyingly so. You can also pick up an aromatic accord that smells slightly green, almost barbershop-esque. I’ve heard it compared to shaving foam, which I can kind of see (my girlfriend picks up the shaving foam vibe easily). Running throughout the background is an amber-woody accord that is comparable to many modern perfumes - some say BR540, but I get more Oud For Greatness (though not exactly like either). Emeer is fairly linear, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. For what it’s worth, this one has garnered a good amount of positive attention when I’ve worn it.
