I’m trying to decide if I want to keep the cover off this pool all winter. I might have to do this every day. I think it took 10-15 minutes.

Dumbest Tesla Seat Belt Warning Systems?
Glad it was short . Complete waste of time.
I believe hydronic (hot water) boilers usually run at about 180° cutout. The aquastat is the upper left device in the inside boiler compartment
Thanks! I am running this thing at about 140 F degrees, and the temperature dial (aquastat I believe) is the upper left device in the boiler compartment. I don’t want my radiators or basement pipes to ever get to 180 F bc it’s just way too much thermal mass and overheats the house if it does. So in a recovery period, we’d end up way overshooting the thermostat set point. I am planning to switch to a modcon with outdoor reset.
Make sure the peg is in the hole😂😂!!
Your nuts.
We can't hear ya when you are not facing the camera. 🤣 Brave man! That's a 2-man job, my friend.
Yeah. Sorry it’s just another of my poor quality videos, but the fact remains that this can be done typically faster than it takes to find a friend to help carry, and then the antenna would have been in the way. ~3 minutes, and I’m done. Lots of practice that I am trying to share.
Only took 5 minutes to unplug the board.
@@mclifer Yeah. I’m sorry I struggled so much to get it disconnected there with the wires, but it DID fix the issue with the TV that’s been working great since I cleaned those connections. Thanks for watching my struggle. LOL
@@mknmike I have replaced this board 3 times and this time I tried your way. It seems to be working. Thankyou.
Mines the same sound but only on the right side wtf?
Use a clamp and use a 2×4 with a bumper on that back side
You could man a piece of wood that would act as a spacer so itI couldn’t actually swing back when you lift above those pieces Otherwise, higher some labor they’re not that expensive certainly cheaper than that piece of granite
My kids, wife and neighbor were all going to help, but I’ve just got to keep moving forward. I wasn’t able to video, but I was able to loft with the engine hoist while holding one side, lifting it over the leg of the engine hoist. Then it was vertical, and I just jacked it a few more inches to be over both legs.
Wow
Seized pump impeller / bearing. It freed itself without help. I think it might have a coil coupler
Seized impeller
Greetings What is the timing for the fuel pump tdc?
I am sorry I don’t recall, but do know that it’s not exactly critical (like it is on a diesel) because it’s not direct injection. I think it’s something like 12 or 18 or 21 degrees though. Sorry I failed at MFI and decided to get rid of everything MFI I owned.
@mknmike Thank you very much, I wish you success, and may God bless your time with all goodness
lol, not what you would expect.
some might have built that as proximity sensor or party of old Halloween thing
I think you are correct and it's likely to be a proximity sensor. Probably built by a radio ham. I can't see the circuit but if you were to give it to someone who knew about vacuum tubes, they could reverse engineer it. It's not a (long range) telecommunication antennae, because it's not mounted outside.
ham antenna ???
For ham sandwiches in the basement? :-) All the leads head to where the replacement security system landed. It looks like all the ends were cut off of the wires. So I can’t see if there were labels on the old wire ends.
It measures the pressure difference between the floor boards. Maybe part of a security trigger to something. If the pressure between the floor boards change, so too does the voltage between the resistors.
To clarify, thats a vacuum tube and not technically a vacuum tube. Not sure exactly what the device is, but it is definitely old. Probably from between the 50s to 70s. What is the code on the tube? That should help determine what it does.
From the look of the internals, the vacuum tube, and the antenna on the outside and what seams like an antenna on the inside of it, I'm going to guess its some kind of recever, probably for some kind of remote to the security system.
@@ThermalDragon there are at least 3 of them in the house, seemingly under the center hall, living room and dining room.
Really it’s just best not to buy a Dyson cordless if you want something reliable and will last.
Thanks for the comment. I have tons of Ryobi 18v batteries and would like to find something similar from them. However, we really love this light and handy vacuum. We will probably end up buying an authentic replacement.
@@mknmike I have a Dyson V6, got it for free as the battery didn't hold much charge. You can get adapters which will let you use your Ryobi batteries with your V7, I use the 5.0Ah Milwaukee batteries with my V6 and it works great.
@@mknmike Only issue I had was my V6 doesn't like to run in boost/max mode, but works fine in normal. Original Dyson batteries are 22v whilst power tool ones are 18v, the Dyson must think the battery is running out and won't boost for very long. I find it has enough power and don't need boost mode anyway, not sure if it would be the same with the V7 but something to consider if you use boost/max mode regularly.
@@mknmike Never mind, boost mode works fine with a 5ah battery when I just tested it.
I’ve rebuilt about 75 of these Ryobi batteries. I’d bet a quarter that if you did the following, it would have likely been successful: 1. Charge each of five cells (10 cells in your case) up to 3.2Volts or higher. 2. Verify the balance is within 0.2 Volts for all cells. If not, make them so. 3. Perform a B.M.S. Reset by shorting the RST pin to ground. (NOTE: Some models don’t have the reset labeled as RST, it’s called J1 and located next to the large T2 contact that pokes through the shell. You must short J1 to ground AND press the LED charge status button.)
These are newer type , not meant to wrap wire around screw . The screw opens and closes the wire clamp inside the " back stab". I like this style
But two problems with the back stab: (1) Electricians say never to use them, and (2) This box was very shallow, and the back stab would have had force pressing a bent, potentially uninsulated portion of the wire up against the metal box. So yeah, not an issue if you are fine with using back stabs. I am able to wrap the wires around the screws, but it just always takes me additional time with this 10-pack I purchased.
Very stupid video
Do you know if theres. A fuel cut if switch on 924 i heard its under drivers seat
I absolutely hate it and this is not talked about enough. I didn't know until installed on my car. The sound drove me crazy especially cause it's a Lexus supposed to be quiet. This flutter sound is just killing me. Will be uninstalling these slotted drilled garbage... Never again lol what a waste of money and time.
does this thing fit in Pentair niche ?
@@davidjacobs8558 I don’t know the size of a Pentair niche, but this thing was a bit too small for my niche and required the antique brass bezel to be bolted to it. I also bought a second (spare/backup) light later for only like $40 (still in box).
Thanks Mike!
I was holding my breath Mike...scary but you did it. My plan is to pad with moving blankets and hire two of my moving buddies to help next month.
Gottlieb Plaza
Hey get somebody to help you it only comes off and on twice a year. You can do $500 worth of body damage real fast.
I bought that car for $850 before I sold the Zender body kit for $500 and then sold the car for $2200. Not sure how I could do $500 with of body damage. In several years of doing this, I’ve never done any body damage. Check my more recent videos doing it.
look ok to me
It brings me tears of joy to see everyone else with drilled and slotted rotors saying the exact same thing. "Sounds like very thin playing card in bicycle spokes." That's my thoughts exactly. R1 Concepts rotors and pads. I guess I can live with that, it's the squeaking my semi metallic pads are doing that really drives me nuts.
How do you get this motor out? What panel needs to come off?
Every year the guy across the street helps me take it off and put it on. A stored in a rack. And keep a new convertible top on the car.
Lol I'm tired of it to thanks for the video
Did you come up with a solution for it Mike?
Sorry I did not. I borrowed another pump from a friend but ended up selling the whole car and selling the other injection pump for the friend too. I gave up on MFI cars altogether.
Sorry - those 70s Mercs are ugly ugly ugly. And as for that being a convertible - sounds like it's been messed around with. And 3 speed auto? Yeah, sure the thing's pretty torquey but not Mercedes' finest - just a smidge over 200hp from 5 litres? They got that from their 3 litre sports car in the 1950s. What is that, 60mph in like 8 seconds for, what, 15mpg? It sounds about 3000quid's worth
Yeah, the fuel inefficiency relative to delivered performance really puts me off. Also, gray market cars from that era could have all kinds of electrical problems.
The gray market cars typically have fewer electronics than the US equivalents.
@mrkiplingreallywasanexceed8311 Holy crap. That’s a long handle. Do you like the aesthetics of any old Mercedes’? The 450slc 5.0 got its reputation for durability in the endurance rally races. Yeah. Mine is no racer. Mercedes quit rally racing when they weren’t guaranteed the ability to win with the 500sl rally car that was built but apparently never raced. Things are often unique because not enough people wanted them. I get it. 240 HP and 0-60 at a snail’s pace. Well, please find me a better 5 seat convertible, the reason I bought this car.
volume is awful
There is ANOTHER electrical REAR PUMP besides the fuel tank. Without that rear pump, there is NO WAY to get any fuel in this injection pump.
That’s true. I made sure that pump was working and eliminated the fuel tank first.
the black thing under the pach is a thermistor its for over heating lock out
Exact thing is happening to me, what ended up being the reason?
I had someone check the Freon level and it was fine no leak is it a coil issue maybe ?
Multiple issues, but the worst was that there was no trap in the condensate line so the fan would suck air in which prevented the water flowing out of the unit. This was the first of several issues I had the second summer with this installation. It all seems resolved now without any change in the charge of the refrigerant. Just leveled the unit and fixed the condensate line adding a trap.
I have slotted only and when I drive I hear like a windy sound. Would that be the wind passing through the slots?
That's the temp sensor not moisture
why don't you have a seatbelt on in the first place tho
This is why we need the dislike count back
That’s pretty obviously it’s a seat sensor it’s the most effective way to see if someone is driving. No one drives without sitting. Not sure how this is dumb.
Dumbest video I’ve ever seen. Congrats bud.
I had over 20 cars from japan to german and american and every single one of them does this what is the problem are you going to drive while you are not sitting?
Just tested it mine doesn’t do that
