Ah yes the pain of scalding hot coolant I remember it well.😅 June 19th 1992 Rend Lake rest area on the way to street machine nationals. 1970 Nova 383 4speed radiator cap failed. Cap hit me just above my eye scalding coolant sealed the cut, had second an third degree burns on face, chest an hands. No i didn’t go to hospital went to med tent at fairgrounds for burn cream and plenty of ice cold beer over weekend to numb the pain.

@DoctorsAnLawyers Screw FEMA! My daughters were in the Millington TN flooding & lost everything! One of my daughters got approved luckily but she is one of the very few & select that FEMA has DECIDED to help!?!? God Bless All that weathered & endured the storm & lost anything & everything!

@patsaxon It isn't just Tennessee, around the same time or the very next weekend it happened in or near Lexington KY and now Arkansas. Flooding has been a problem for alot of places here lately. Something I hope to NEVER live through or endure EVER again! My daughters lost everything in the Millington TN flooding. God Bless ALL!

@patsaxon it wasn't really the drainage systems... it was just a ton of rain too fast.

@1970sarteaga - Got it. thanks. I also had my dates mixed up. I thought it actually started the beginning of april , and didn't get around to reporting until May and therefore labeling this flood as a flood that occurred in May. But you cleared it up. thanks....lol. my mistake

@NBAGOATS U r confusing the hell outta me and I was there!!! It started Fri night, April 30th late or early AM hours of Saturday May 1st and it continued into all weekend. So I guess you could say it happened in May. The first weekend of May. How's that?

@1970sarteaga Yea but, what i mean is, if it started in April how is it that the flood didn't happen until May? If the flood started in April shouldn't it have occured in April and was over by May? Is it a flood that happend in April or May? Because if it started in May then maybe it would have occurred in April. But it didn't happen that way. It actually happened reverse. Or did it? Gosh, this is so confusing.

@blasphenomical I got stuck as well Sat nite in Jackson and then went back to Memphis where my daughter lived & lost everything and didn't make it home to Martin until Monday AM @ 10 AM. Right b4 the levee broke in Dyersburg!

@NBAGOATS The bad storms moved into the West TN area late Friday PM, which was April 30th but the worst part of it started after midnight which was May 1st and then it continued all weekend. Do you understand now?

Thank you for posting this. I was evacuated from a camping trip in Land Between the Lakes and couldn't get home to Milan, TN for 4 days. Never could have imagined this would happen to us.

@iBlowYouKisses God Bless your family affected by the storm. My daughter lived in Memphis Mobile City and it flooded and they lost everything, vehicles and all. My boyfriends car was there and lucky we were 10 minutes down the road between Millington & Frayser where it wasn't quite as bad but still bad. Hope your family "weathers" alright.

@NBAGOATS These storms happened Friday night into Saturday AM on May 1st and continued all weekend.

So many lives were lost that weekend. I was in Nashville at a convention and we had to drive back home in that terrible storm. I have a video of a small bit of what we drove next to, but thankfully it wasn't as bad on the way home.
