@@RavenforTea Yes, I wholeheartedly agree with you! In nature and in many people’s backyards, letting the birds and squirrels and insects and other creatures enjoy the fruit. I wholeheartedly support that. For some additional context, what happens in urban areas if fruit is not harvested is that it falls on the streets and sidewalks, making them a slip hazard, especially on the wet, hilly streets typical of Autumn in the Pacific Northwest. It kind of becomes insult to injury on food waste! But I agree with you, that all cycles return the nutrients and spread the seeds somehow.
