1. Start the crane:
Turn on the power switch or start the engine.
Check the indicators and readings on the dashboard to confirm that everything is normal.
2. Adjust the outriggers:
If the crane has retractable outriggers, they need to be deployed and adjusted to the appropriate position to ensure the stability of the crane.
It is usually necessary to place pads under each outrigger to increase the contact area and reduce the pressure on the ground.
3. Mount the sling:
Select the appropriate hook or other sling as needed.
Make sure the sling is firmly connected to the crane's boom.
4. Lift the load:
Use the control handle or remote control to slowly raise the boom until the hook contacts the load.
Hook the hook correctly on the load and make sure the hook is fully closed.
Lift the load slowly while keeping it steady and avoid sudden acceleration or deceleration.
5. Move the load:
Use the crane's steering mechanism to adjust the direction of the boom during the lifting process.
Move the crane itself (if it is a movable small crane), or rotate the boom to the desired position.
Always keep the load within sight and make sure there are no obstacles in the path.
6. Place the load:
Slowly lower the boom and gently place the load in the designated position.
Release the hook after confirming that the load has been safely placed.
7. Complete the operation:
Retract the boom to the initial position.
Turn off the power or turn off the engine.
Stow the outriggers and other auxiliary equipment.
Clean up the work site and ensure that everything is restored to its original state.
