I saw Norman wisdom . Some years ago when I visited my old friend in the Isle of Man he went to a place in Douglas with one of the Gibbs brothers to resive the freedom of the city. We stood outside watching them arrive and come back out of the building.

There lies one of the most important British artists of the last 200 years, a sidenote on his parents' gravestone. They couldn't find a space for him in Manchester Cathedral ?! Disgraceful.

There really wasn't a more famous TV personality in the UK than Tommy Cooper. And there he lies, in an overgrown, untended grave, no flowers, no little visitor gifts, or even pebbles left behind. He still has a daughter (Victoria) who is a live. She obviously doesn't care about her Dad.

I appreciate your videos. Unlike other channels, we don't have to sit through 15 minutes where you walk to the gravesite whilst you read out their biographies. This particular video shows death as the great leveler even more so than the other celebs. Here's a man who was BD in Princess Margaret, who was on first name terms with The Queen, and here's his unloved grave with no flowers - even though he has 5 kids !

"Blairskaith House". That was weird. I went looking at his Wikipedia page, thinking it was maybe something to do with his University. It's not mentioned there. But Googling his name and 'Blairskaith House' says that the place was where he lived. It's not like he's going to be confused with any other Magnus Magnusson !

I met John Challis at a Waterstones book signing. He was nothing like Boycie in real life. It just doesn’t feel real that he is gone now. He will be forever immortalised as Boycie in Only Fools and Horses.

RIP Norman. Thank you for the laughs. I didn’t realise he was buried in the Isle of Man. I’ll visit the grave next time I’m over there

My hero, what this Gentleman couldn't do you can write on the back of a stamp. More than a legend Sir Norman Wisdom is pure Gold ,national treasure status I will never forget growing up watching the funniest films with a genius who had the warmest heart in the world .miss you Norman RIP forever.

Janet Brown was a comedic genius and impressionist.Amazing that her husband Peter Butterworth, who played the buffoon in many a Carry On film was a prisoner of war and held at Stalag Luft and was a key member of the Great Escape team. He was supposed to be the last man out but stayed to keep sending coded messages to British Intelligence. Another prisoner Talbot Rothwell was a scriptwriter for the Carry On films too. Butterworth was turned down to play himself in the 1949 movie The Great Escape.

A much more talented entertainer than today's so-called comedians. Very much in the style of Laurel and Hardy. He also had a very good singing voice. It was an age of innocent fun, sadly gone for ever!

You can go to a few countries around the world,and two names people always know are sir Bobby Charlton and sir Norman wisdom..

I can not believe that a famous Norman wisdom international acter could graveyard somewhere like this place,,, this fantastic person needs a memorial stone much bigger in some special place I remember when I was kid, Iranian TV shows invited him to my country Iran, which was 46 years ago he made a lot of jokes, and at that time I did not understand English but the way he acted was a marvellous entertainer. He was a national treasure provider of laughter and smiles thank you norman ❤🌹

It'd be very interesting to know where film stars and singers are laid to rest, perhaps there's an illustrated book on the subject, I don't know. PS- one of the soldiers who survived the battle against the zulus at Rorkes Drift is buried in a cemetery just down the road from me in Plymouth UK.

Is there no family left for these people, so sad, I watched this man pass away live on tv with my mum. It was devastating as we all thought it was a part of his act even when the curtain was across his body then they dragged him under it, He should be a Sir Tommy Cooper xx

Oh dear im so shocked by theses famous peoples graves, I would of thought because of what she did for the armed forces there would of at least been a statue, 😔 😔 😢 😢
